After a dramatic end to the Sweet 16 on Friday night, check out the latest March Madness bracket to preview the epic Elite Eight matchups.

Even though the first two rounds of March Madness weren’t, well, very mad, the Sweet 16 was absolutely wacky. Duke needed a second dose of divine intervention to get through to the Elite Eight in the East region, where they will square off with Tom Izzo and Michigan State for a spot in the Final Four.

Other top seeds weren’t as fortunate, headlined by Duke’s rivals, the North Carolina Tar Heels. North Carolina got buried from deep by Auburn, who knocked down 17 threes to eliminate the Tar Heels and bust brackets nationwide.

Auburn will square off with Kentucky in an all-SEC showdown in the Midwest Region after the Wildcats survived a war with Houston to get back to the Elite Eight. PJ Washington made a triumphant return for Kentucky, scoring 16 points to help the Wildcats outlast the Cougars.

The SEC’s last team in the Sweet 16, Tennessee, nearly pulled off a massive comeback of their own before falling to Purdue in overtime. The Boilermakers, led by hot shooting Carsen Edwards, who is averaging over 33 points per game in the NCAA Tournament, will take on Virginia in the South Regional final.

The West Region, which featured three of the four teams in this round from a year ago, ended up with a different Elite Eight pairing featuring Texas Tech’s stifling defense (which throttled Michigan) and Gonzaga’s electrifying offense.

Here’s a look at the bracket entering the Elite Eight.

Elite Eight play begins later today, with the West and South Regions tipping off on TBS beginning at 6:09 p.m. ET. The East and Midwest Regions, headlined by the epic clash between Duke and Michigan State in Washington, will take place on Sunday on CBS.
