The DC Universe panel at WonderCon 2019 featured a number of programming updates and announcements and a terrifying first look at Swamp Thing.

WonderCon 2019 guests were treated to an exclusive first look at the Swamp Thing trailer during the DC Universe panel. In addition to seeing the first footage from the show, there were lots of news and programming updates. The panel was capped off with a first look at the next full episode of Young Justice: Outsiders, which returns for the second half of its season this summer.

Swamp Thing premieres May 31. Fans got a look at the trailer, which isn’t available online yet, and it was chilling. The goal, according to the showrunners in attendance, was to create a true horror experience and that was achieved tenfold. The visuals are jarring, building suspense from the first moment and never letting up. The final moment of the footage showed Swamp Thing about to rise from the water, and though we didn’t actually see him there’s no question that he’s going to be impressively terrifying.

Jim Lee kicked things off with the announcement that the DC Universe library is expanding exponentially with the addition of more content. Starting in April, the library will house over 20,000 titles.

There was also an exclusive first look at Courtney Whitmore as Stargirl, which premieres in early 2020.

The second season of Titans has been moved up to Fall 2019. Casting announcements include Superboy (Joshua Orpin), Deathstroke (Esai Morales), Jericho (Chella Wilson) and Ravager (Chelsea Zhang).

Fans of Krypton will be able to stream the entire first season starting April 5, 2019. It’s the first original series to be available in its entirety on the platform.

Known for its exclusive programming, the next original DC Universe animated film is Justice League vs The Fatal Five, which is coming April 16. It’s coming to 4K Ultra HD, Bluray and DVD the same day but it’s available to DC Universe members for free.

The second half of the Young Justice: Outsiders season will arrive July 2. Fans got to see the first episode during the panel and it looks absolutely fantastic.

There were no new updates for the Harley Quinn animated series other than to say it will follow Titans season 2 this fall.

DC Universe membership is available for $7.99/month, and it includes access to the expansive comic library, original programming as well as classic television shows and movies, an exclusive online shore and access to a large community of fans and member-exclusive experiences.
