Even though we have had a lot of great champions in the history of the NCAA Tournament, there have also been plenty of excellent teams that failed to cut down the nets in the Final Four.
Making the Final Four is an incredible achievement for any college basketball program, and cutting down the nets on Monday night will add another school to the list of national champions.
Not everyone gets to experience that glory, however, as the one-and-done nature of March Madness has made it easy for epic teams to miss out by simply having an off night.
Throughout the years, plenty of excellent basketball teams have come up just shy of the national championship by getting outplayed in the Final Four.
After a long and extensive dive into the record books, we have identified the 10 best teams who didn’t finish the job and cut down the nets at the Final Four.
As any list entails, this will lead to plenty of debate, which we openly encourage here at FanSided. Without any further ado, let’s dive into the rankings with our 10th-best team that didn’t take home a championship at the Final Four, the 1974-1975 edition of UCLA Bruins.
