High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Ivica Zubac (vs MEM – $5,100): Needs 22.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 14 fantasy points against Cleveland. Zubac doesn’t always play big minutes but against Valanciunas, his minutes should be up a bit. Maybe. It’s not a given for him but it’s a working theory. He had 18.6 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Feb. 22. He’s good for some numbers but this salary feels a tad too high. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.

Jakob Poeltl (vs SAC – $4,900): Needs 21.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 19.9 fantasy points against Cleveland. Much like Zubac, Poeltl isn’t playing that many minutes but he’s doing well in those minutes. And his salary is slightly less, which helps. And the matchup is very good, which helps even more. The minutes are there enough and, much like Zubac, he’s good for some numbers, even though it might not be much. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.

Mason Plumlee (vs WAS – $4,800): Needs 21 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 18.5 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. Plumlee is actually my favorite value center on the night because his minutes are slightly more guaranteed, his matchup is best, and he’s at the best salary. He had 25.2 fantasy points against the Wizards on Mar. 21. The Wizards don’t have much in their frontcourt and Plumlee can easily take advantage of them once again. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
