Some WWE fans want to see Finn Balor in a bigger match at WrestleMania 35, but here are five reasons he should defeat Bobby Lashley for the Intercontinental Championship.

Finn Balor fans aren’t exactly thrilled to see their favorite Superstar face Bobby Lashley at the biggest WWE event of the year. Even though the match is for the Intercontinental Title, Balor Club members would like to see him matched up against a more compelling opponent. That’s a fair criticism, but the good news is that Balor should get the win over Lashley and his sideckick Lio Rush.

Rush’s introduction into the feud has done a lot to spice it up. He’s not an intimidating presence in the ring, due to his size, but he makes up for it with his talent on the microphone, and his high-flying style is a contrast to Lashley’s physicality. In many ways, Rush and Lashley combine together to equal one complete WWE Superstar.

Here, we will examine the five biggest reasons why Balor should go over Lashley at WrestleMania 35. It may not be the dream match for Balor, but it should give him a nice win to build from.

5. WWE loves the kids

Balor happens to be one of the Superstars who really curries favor with young WWE fans around the globe. Simply put, having a guy like that lose at WrestleMania is bad for business. It might happen occasionally, but don’t look for it to happen with Balor in this match.

Lashley, in sharp contrast, engenders no such interest from children of any age. It’s easy for him to take a pin and move on to someone else. A loss for Balor might actually damage the WWE’s bottom line. When in doubt, go with the Superstar who sells the most merchandise. That’s Balor by a wide margin in this matchup.
