4. Balor gives WWE more options

Whoever wins this match will be expected to carry the Intercontinental Title into a future program as soon as WrestleMania ends. It’s impossible to predict who WWE wants to be the next challenger, but Balor’s versatility in the ring gives the company a lot of options.

Balor’s size makes him equally good against heavyweights and cruiserweights. That gives the company a ton of flexibility when choosing who to match him up with. His recent performances against Brock Lesnar and Rush showcase his flexibility to perfection.

Lashley, on the other hand, is better suited to go up against another guy who is at or near his size. He lacks the high-flying charisma that makes Balor such a dynamic opponent. That’s not a knock on Lashley, it’s simply an observation based on the type of opponent that suits him best.

Balor’s versatility is a big reason why he appeals to WWE fans and it’s also a plus for the company as well. Look for him to emerge victorious at WrestleMania 35 to give the WWE a ton of options for the Intercontinental title picture moving forward.
