WWE SmackDown Live preview, April 2: Watch online
Here’s all the information you need for the April 2, 2019 edition of WWE SmackDown Live.
WWE has finally hit the home stretch to the annual extravaganza known as WrestleMania. And this week’s edition of SmackDown Live is the final stop before WrestleMania weekend. So let’s take a look at what’s in store, just days before we head to MetLife Stadium.
The WrestleMania dream is about to become a reality for Kofi Kingston. After watching Big E and Xavier Woods survive a grueling tag team gauntlet match last Tuesday, Kingston is finally headed to WrestleMania to compete for the WWE Championship. After Kingston’s New Day brothers were victorious, a less-than-thrilled Vince McMahon confirmed that he was indeed headed to the big stage.
This week, we’ll see the official contract signing between Kingston and WWE Champion Daniel Bryan. Now, we all know how these contract signings turn out. They have never ended well. There’s always the sense something is going to go horribly wrong. But we’ll have to watch and see how it plays out.
Five days ahead of their WrestleMania showdown, Randy Orton and “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles will go face-to-face this week. But it will be on The Kevin Owens Show. As we all know, K.O. is far from afraid to stir the pot with his guests, so expect this one to erupt.

Plus, we’ll see Rey Mysterio and Andrade add another chapter to their rivalry as they go head-to-head this week. These two have had incredible matches over the last few months, and another showdown just before WrestleMania should be no different.
And as we saw this week on Monday Night Raw, Becky Lynch and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair were arrested along with Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. That’s a horrible look, less than a week away from their winner-take-all match on Sunday. They were victorious in a six-woman tag match on Monday, and then it all broke loose and ended with all three in handcuffs and in the back of police cars. How will this affect the trio heading into their WrestleMania main event?
This is it folks, the final stop before WrestleMania weekend. It’s going to be a packed show this week, and then it’s on to the grandest stage in all of sports entertainment. Make sure you’ve got your subscription to the WWE Network so you don’t miss out on a weekend full of action.
