Ever since attacking Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2018, Becky Lynch’s wrestling career has been on an upward trajectory reaching monumental heights few ever attain. Now the “The Man” is about to realize a dream she’s had since she began her career in wrestling at 15 years old.

On April 7 at MetLife Stadium in front of over 80,000 people, Lynch along with SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, and Raw Women’s Champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey, will make history as the first-ever women’s match to main event a WrestleMania.

For Lynch “main event WrestleMania” has long been her answer to the question of what she wants to accomplish as her main goal in the industry. But “win at WrestleMania” is an even more prominent milestone, and something that practically writes itself as the fairy tale ending the Irish Lass Kicker deserves after an arduous climb to the top of the hill. Here are five reasons why Lynch is destined to win at WrestleMania 35.

5. Popularity

Even before Lynch dubbed herself “The Man” the WWE Universe have stood behind her in support. Fans have consistently rallied for their favorite fiery redhead to get the chances she deserves.

Lynch worked hard in NXT, alongside the other 4 Horsewomen, to revolutionize women’s wrestling and bring great matches to the crowds. So when audiences watched her struggle on the main roster, being pushed aside in favor of others less deserving, they were quick to let the WWE machine know they wanted Lynch in the top spot.

On the August 23, 2016, episode of SmackDown Live commissioner Shane McMahon and general manager Daniel Bryan unveiled the first ever SmackDown Women’s Championship with the women’s roster standing in the center of the ring. The live crowd was quick to voice their opinion of who should become the inaugural SmackDown Women’s Champion as chants of “Becky” echoed in the arena. Every time Lynch stepped foot on the ladder at 2018’s Money in the Bank, the crowd erupted in anticipation of her claiming the briefcase and the win. And when creative tried to brand Lynch as a heel by attacking her best friend Charlotte Flair at SummeSlam, and even cutting a scathing promo against the crowd itself, the fans still cheered for Lynch.

That type of endorsement can no longer be ignored, as chants of “Becky” constantly fill arenas even when she’s not in the match or even on the card. For Lynch’s part, she’s been gracious in returning the affections of her fan base. Any chance she gets she makes it clear that she would not be where she is today without their support. Her genuine appreciation only endears her to the WWE Universe even more. If Lynch somehow didn’t walk away at with the win at WrestleMania the crowd might go ballistic.
