WWE 205 Live is back with Mike Kanellis (with Maria Kanellis) facing off with Akira Tozawa (with Brian Kendrick) in the main event.

205 Live opens with general manager Drake Maverick setting the tone for the show. Maverick promises that the Cruiserweight Championship match between Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese will steal the show at WrestleMania and informs us that each man will discuss what the match means to them later in the night.

1. Kalisto vs Oney Lorcan

The opening match is a first-time ever bout between Kalisto and 205 Live’s newest signee Oney Lorcan. Last week featured Lorcan attacking Cedric Alexander before revealing he was now part of the cruiserweight brand. Lucha House Party comes to the ring with Kaliso and welcomes the crowd to the show. Lince Dorado hypes WrestleMania and says Kalisto will throw a lucha house party tonight to get the week started.

Lorcan starts the match by entering the ring with a vicious uppercut. The early portion of the match is controlled by Lorcan as he continues his momentum outside of the ring. A backstage camera interrupts the match for a few seconds to show Buddy Murphy walking around with an angry look after his brawl with Tony Nese last week.

The match is back on camera with Lorcan still in control, delivering consistent lariats and uppercuts. Kalisto’s chest is showing the aftermath of Lorcan’s hits. An extended headlock from Lorcan ends as Kalisto starts to take control with a few reversals. The Lucha House Party leader delivers a hurricanrana as the fans start to rally behind him with “lucha” chants.

Lorcan ends the momentum with another outstanding uppercut. A couple of exchanges on the apron ends with Kalisto hitting a Salida Del Sol, which sends both men to the outside of the ring. Lorcan is able to kick out by the time Kalisto drags him back into the ring for the pin attempt. Kalisto attempts to get to the top rope before Lorcan hits him in the back.

A desperation 450 Splash from Kalisto fails as Lorcan puts his knees up to block it. Lorcan hits his Half and Half Suplex finisher to get the victory. Commentary hypes up Lorcan’s win over a former Cruiserweight Champion before revealing that Alexander will likely have something to say about this.

Winner: Oney Lorcan
