The Bears pulled a triple digit prank on April Fools but officially announced their uniform plans for 2019 on Thursday, which will include one special one.

There’s no better fit to be center stage in an April Fools prank than quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, who appeared in the teams video on Monday announcing the triple digit uniforms. Also, surprisingly, George McCaskey!

Players at all levels shared their fake excitement as well and even yours truly kind of wished they were real. Kind of. Alright who doesn’t want to see a 152 Khalil Mack?

It also led to perfect jokes, and the realization that they obviously couldn’t do it with Parkey still on the roster, who was cut in March, because 101 would be too reminiscent of bad January memories.

I’d still wear the 110.

On Thursday however, the Bears announced that they would wear not one, not two, not three, not four…wait just four uniforms in 2019. Along with the classic navy and the classic white, the Bears will wear orange again in 2019, hopefully, the Dolphins game is far from memory, and a special jersey that won’t be unveiled until June.

June 7th marks the 100th-anniversary celebration for the Bears, which will be held in Rosemont at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.

Scheduled to appear at the centennial celebration are Dick Butkus, Mike Singletary, Brian Urlacher, Richard Dent and more. It’s a momentous occasion for the Bears. With the hype that surrounds the city at every moment, how could a 100th season and Super Bowl aspirations not be a perfect storm?

In honor of the special season as well, the Bears are donating $100,000 per home game, to 10 different charities.

Could this special jersey be some mixture of throwback and current? What do you guys think? Leave a comment below for what you want to see on June 7th.
