Every team that has made the 2019 Final Four obviously does many things well, but what could be each team’s downfall in trying to win the title?

After 64 games (including the First Four) in the 2019 NCAA Tournament, we’ve finally arrived at the Final Four. In Minneapolis, the Virginia Cavaliers, Michigan State Spartans, Texas Tech Red Raiders and Auburn Tigers will all vie for the chance to win a National Championship. While it may not be the field that many expected to run through March Madness, these teams are all undeniably deserving.

Tom Izzo and Michigan State are no strangers to Final Four appearances, but this team has been incredible to watch as he’s survived a less-talented roster than he may be used to and numerous injuries to get here. As for the other three teams, though, this would be their first National Championship in program history should they cut down the nets. Even for Sparty, this would be their first title since 2000.

In the case of Virginia, this is the realization of Tony Bennett’s vision. They have long been a defensive force, but now with more offensive potency and potentially than we’ve seen in year’s past, they have the tools to finally get over the hump. Meanwhile, Texas Tech also thrives off of their defense, but have come into their own as a balanced offensive team down the stretch.

For Auburn, they are an exciting team that can bomb from 3-point range and competes with high energy for every minute of the game. Then there’s Michigan State, who is an experienced team that makes few mistakes and has a toughness that is both obvious and hard to quantify.

While that’s what these teams in the Final Four all do well, they aren’t perfect by any stretch — that’s part of the beauty of college basketball. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the flaw of each of these teams that could ultimately leave them falling short in Minneapolis.
