Daily Fantasy Baseball is in full swing, and whether you play on DraftKings, FanDuel, Yahoo, or Fantasy Draft, this article is designed to help you find the best value plays across the board for today’s slate. These low salary targets are my top players to help you roster your stud bats and pitchers.

Welcome to FantasyCPR! If you are a regular reader, welcome back for baseball! If you are new we are glad to have you, and we certainly hope you make us your first source of your Daily Fantasy Baseball research everyday. We will have plenty of articles every day here, and no matter where you play, we are likely to have you covered.

What separates us from others, is that we have a solid team of writers all tackling different areas to write about. This allows us to hone in our content, and you give our best plays possible, as early as possible. We are without a doubt the leader in first-look articles for DFS, so if you just found us, welcome, and I hope you come back for more.

While most of our content is site specific, whether it be for hitting or pitching, this article is going to be different. What I will do here, is evaluate potential value plays for that particular day, across the four major DFS sites.

So the plan of attack here is, first I will highlight my top value plays for Yahoo and Fantasy Draft. I will dig up certain plays that I think fit their scoring systems, and possible flaws in pricing. I will then do the same for FanDuel, and then for DraftKings.

Finally after I break down my favorites from each site specifically, I will then finish up with top overall multi-site value plays. These are the top players viable across the industry, who are in line to out produce their respective salary, no matter what the site. All of these plays are just simply the best value plays that stand out across the industry, regardless of site.

FanDuel MLB: CLEVELAND, OH – JUNE 22: Shane Bieber #57 of the Cleveland Indians pitches against the Detroit Tigers during the first inning at Progressive Field on June 22, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio. (Photo by David Maxwell/Getty Images) /

Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – Yahoo!

SP – Shane Bieber – Cleveland Indians – $35

I was rather surprised to see Bieber this cheap on Yahoo. He is the fourth most expensive pitcher here, as opposed to being in the top two salary wise everywhere else. Bieber has arguably the easiest match-up on the slate as he will face the Blue Jays at home, and this will be his first start of the 2019 season.

Bieber started the season as the Indians fifth starter, and with more days off in the early season than normal, he was used in relief back on March 31st against Minnesota. He gave up two hits and an earned run in two innings, striking out two, and throwing just 17 pitches.

OF – Leonys Martin – Cleveland Indians – $8

Staying in this same game, Indians lead off hitter Leonys Martin is starting to come around with the bat, but his price is not reflecting it quite yet here on Yahoo. Martin picked up two hits last night for his first multi-hit game with his new club, and the Indians will face Blue Jays rookie Trent Thornton, who was dynamite in his first start.

Thornton faced the Tigers in that one, and this Indians lineup is pretty bad without Francisco Lindor, but this price on Martin is too low for a leadoff guy who is coming around with the stick a little bit. I don’t expect much here as I like Thornton as well a bit, but if I need to go low at OF this is my guy.

OF – Lorenzo Cain – Milwaukee Brewers – $7,700

And today’s low-priced team on Fantasy Draft is….. The Milwaukee Brewers! The Brew Crew will welcome the rival Cubbies to town, and they will be facing veteran lefty Jose Quintana. Quintana seems to be a shell of his former self as he is now the fifth starter in this Cubs rotation, but like Bieber, he was stretched out in a relief role early in the season. On top of that, this Cubs bullpen has serious problems, so lets talk about this Brewers stack here.

It starts with leadoff man Lo Cain who is a steal at under $8K. Cain is expensive on other sites, as he should be. Cain is hitting .320 to start the season, has scored five runs, and swiped two bases. I really like stacking him up here with some other righties, with my favorite option being Jesus Aguilar at $8,300. It might not be necessary to go here with the lack of pitching, but something to consider.

FanDuel MLB
FanDuel MLB: ST PETERSBURG, FL – MAY 23: Rafael Devers #11 of the Boston Red Sox scores in the ninth inning against the Tampa Bay Rays on May 23, 2018 at Tropicana Field in St Petersburg, Florida. The Red Sox won 4-1.(Photo by Julio Aguilar/Getty Images) /

Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – FanDuel

3B – Rafael Devers – Boston Red Sox – $2,900

The slumping Red Sox are now just 2-6 to start the season, and will be in Arizona to face Zack Godley and the Diamondbacks. Devers started the season pretty hot, but cooled off a bit over the series with Oakland. A west coast road trip to start the season for the Sox is pretty brutal, but I think they can have some success this weekend, as the DBacks are also somewhat struggling at 3-4.

In eight games, Devers is hitting .233 with two doubles, but he should return to a favorable spot in the lineup again against a right-hander. I should specify that, because if he does not hit third, I am not sure I like this as much as say if he hits sixth or seventh. There are cheaper decent options, but Devers is a guy you have to consider when he dips below $3K like this.

OF – Odubel Herrera – Philadelphia Phillies – $2,600

Herrera remains cheap on FanDuel, but other sites seem to be slowly catching up. The Phillies will host the Twins today, who will have veteran Jake Odorizzi on the mound, who was dominant in his first start of the season striking out 11. However, this Phillies offense is much more potent than that Indians offense without Francisco Lindor he faced, and I do not expect Odorizzi to have similar success.

There is a threat of rain in this game so we have to keep an eye on that, but Herrera’s bat has come to life the last two games, and I want to use it tonight if that game looks safe to play. Herrera is up over $4K now on DK, after a 3-for-5 game followed by a 1-for-4. Three of those four hits are doubles, and he has also scored four runs as well. All in all, Herrera has paid off his low price tag here in consecutive games, and remains dirt cheap on FanDuel.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – AUGUST 31: Jorge Polanco #11 of the Minnesota Twins hits a RBI double against the Chicago White Sox in the fifth inning during of their baseball game on August 31, 2017, at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota.(Photo by Andy King/Getty Images) /

Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – DraftKings

SS – Jorge Polanco – Minnesota Twins – $3,900

The Twins are off to a 4-1 start as they head to Philly for a tough series with Bryce Harper and the Phillies, and one bright spot for Minnesota has been Jorge Polanco, who has found a home hitting in the two-hole of that Twins lineup.

Somehow DK got this one wrong I think in a sense that they have EIGHT shortstops more expensive on this slate, when in turn, Polanco is the fourth most expensive SS on FanDuel at the same price of $3,900.

After an 0-for-3 on opening day, Polanco has hit safely in each of the last four games. He has notched two multi-hit games, and has doubled in each of the last two. If you want to pay up for two pitchers today on DK and need a cheap SS option, consider Polanco.

SP – Trent Thornton – Toronto Blue Jays – $6,200

I was going to recommend Brandon Woodruff as a pivot to this Trent Thornton SP2 chalk today, but the Indians lineup is still not much of a threat without Lindor. Thornton made it known in his first MLB start last week against Detroit that he indeed has some nasty stuff, as he struck out eight in his debut.

At this price, you just can’t fade this in cash. It helps you do whatever you want with bats, and on this slate, it looks necessary to be able to do so with the lack of premium pitching options. I do like Woodruff for GPP’s, but the K upside is not as good.

Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – Across the Industry!

Welcome to the most important, and final page of the article. On most days, certain value plays will line up well on 2 or three, or even all of the sites covered in this article. From the looks of it, I have a piece of every player coming up here on at least two sites in my early lineups, so just because you did not see somebody yet on another site specific slide from earlier, he could be coming up right now.

More from FanSided

OF – Curtis Granderson – Miami Marlins – ($3,800 DK, $2,900 FD, $12 Y!, $7,700 FantasyDraft)

I got a good feeling about the Marlins today, which is rare, and kinda scary actually. Kevin Gausman will be on the hill for the Braves though, and he is someone I want to target some bats against as he is coming off of a shoulder injury.

Grandy can still hit the ball, as he homered on opening day against the Rockies, and I think we see a patented Granderson lead off homer tonight.

1B – Neil Walker – Miami Marlins – ($3,600 DK, $2,300 FD, $8 Y!, $7,200 FantasyDraft)

Yup one more Marlin, and another seasoned vet in Neil Walker. Both of these value hitters profile well against Gausman, and I think both could put up decent games tonight, and outproduce their respective salaries. Walker is getting rest against lefties as he has always hit better from the left side, so he should slide back in the middle of the order tonight. He also homered on opening day, and I think he goes deep again today as well.
