Welcome to the FINAL NHL DFS Man Advantage for the 2018-19 regular season. This was an amazing season and I cannot wait for the playoffs to start!

Usually I go over the slate in this spot, but I want to use this for a different reason tonight, I want to thank EVERYONE, every single person who took the time out of their day to read my articles throughout the NHL season. This was my first time ever writing and if it wasn’t for all of you guys and girls out there reading my pieces every day, I wouldn’t be able to keep doing something I have a passion for and love doing. Some people, like my wife, think this is work, but for me it’s not, it’s enjoyable. I also want to thank Fantasy CPR, especially Brian Tulloch, Mike Marteny, and Matt Rogers for their hard work in getting these articles we ALL write and work so hard on out to you guys out there and for giving me the chance to prove myself in this industry. This is not a good-bye, this is a see you guys in October for the 2019-2020 season! I am already working on ways to make this article better for next season and easier to read and follow. Thank you all again so much for a wonderful fun NHL DFS season and good luck to whoever you root for in the playoffs ( Let’s Go Pens!)

NHL DFS Goalies:

Since this is the last day of the NHL season, and very few goalies confirmed for Saturday’s games I will just give you some my favorite spots to use your goalies. Make sure you check on DailyFaceOff.com (for some idiotic reason @DailyFaceOff Twitter account was suspended) to see who gets the start for all the teams playing tonight.

Matt Murray ($8,300) is the one goalie I will give you as a play because I don’t see the Pens sitting him in favor of Casey DeSmith in a must win game. Murray had a bounce back game at home against Detroit on Thursday stopping 33 of 34 shots for 8.6 DKFP and a win. Against the Rangers this season Murray is 2-0-0 in 2 games with a 2.00 GAA, a .938 SV% , and a 7.1 DKFP per game average.

I will rank my top 5 goalie spots below (in order of preference):

1 – Winnipeg @ Arizona ( Arizona has nothing to play for, and will probably play osme kid more minutes)

2 – Vegas @ Los Angeles  ( Los Angeles is bad, really bad, and is on the second night of a back to back.

3- Columbus @ Ottawa (Columbus locked up the lat playoff spot and I assume Korpisalo gets the nod tonight)

4- Roberto Luongo @ New Jersey (Ok, so I gave you two goalies by name)

5- Washington vs NY Islanders (I know the Islanders need this game, but there offense is just really bad, they win games on defense and goaltending)

NHL DFS Forwards:

Similar to the goalie section I will give you a few of my favorite players to use from teams that are playing for something tonight and a few who might not be but should get a good look tonight from their clubs

Nathan MacKinnon ($8,000) – MacKinnon is riding a 6 game point streak into tonight’s game with San Jose with 3 goals and 4 assists during this stretch. Colorado needs this game to avoid a first round meeting with Calgary (along with a Dallas loss) and MacKinnon will need to be at his best along with Gabriel Landeskog ($7,400)

Sidney Crosby ($7,700) Sidney Crosby loves the Rangers, well let me refrain that, he loves PLAYING the Rangers. In his last 10 games against the Rangers Sid has 7 goals and 9 assists, good for a 1.6 PPG average. Pittsburgh needs this game if they want home ice in the first round and Crosby has a tendency to show up when it matter most and tonight is matters.

Blake Wheeler ($6,800)/Mark Scheifele ($6,300) – Winnipeg needs this game to win the Central division (coupled with a Nashville loss) and these two need to be better. Both Wheeler and Scheifele have seemingly disappeared for the Jets when it matters most. If the Jets are to have any chance of winning the central, they will need some much better play from their top line.

Filip Forsberg ($6,000) – Forsberg has 5 points in the Preds last 10 games and in his only game against the Blackhawks this season Forsberg picked up 2 goals and 9.5 DKFP. Nashville just needs a win and they lock up the division and Forsberg and the rest of the top line will have to be at their best.

Nino Niederreiter ($5,500) – Over his last 6 games Niederreiter has 2 goals and 3 assists and is averaging over 3 DKFP per game. Carolina needs a win to stay ahead of Columbus in the standings and avoid a matchup with Tampa Bay and that should plenty of motivation for the Bunch of Jerks from Carolina to win this one.

Here are some of my favorite value plays for tonight:

Tyler Bertuzzi ($4,800)  had his 4 straight 3 point game streak snapped on Tuesday, but when you’re hot you’re hot and Bertuzzi is. In 2 games against Buffalo this season Bertuzzi has 2 goals and 2 assists and a 6.5 DKFP per game average.

Speaking of Buffalo, Jack Eichel‘s new linemate, Victor Olofsson ($4,400) has been great in the first 5 games of his NHL career. Olofsson has 2 goals and 2 assists for the Sabres and actually picked up an assist in his first NHL game against the Red Wings.

Austin Watson ($3,600) has played 2 games since his reinstatement from his suspension this season. Watson had no points in his first game back, but he picked up 2 assists on Thursday against Vancouver and 5 DKFP.

NHL DFS Defensemen:

Top Tier:

Dougie Hamilton ($5,900) – Hamilton has 3 goals and an assist in his last 4 for the Canes. In 3 games against the Flyers, Hamilton has 1 goal and 2 assists with 10 SOG and a 5.5 DKFP per game.

Other Options: Dustin Byfuglien ($5,600) , P.K. Subban ($5,400)

Value Tier:

Filip Hronek ($3,700) – Hronek comes in with a 3 game point streak during which he’s picked up 1 goal and 3 assists and a near 4DKFP per game average. In his one game against the Sabres Hronek has 1 goal and 1 assist.

Other Options: Adam Larsson ($3,600) , Nick Jensen ($3,300)

NHL DFS Line Stacks:

My top line stack is the Buffalo Sabres top line on the road in Detroit. I mentioned two thirds of this line earlier, but they have been clicking the last few games since they were put together and in the last game of the season I want to ride off into the sunset with these guys.

VICTOR OLOFSSON
JACK EICHEL
SAM REINHART

Even though they are playing for nothing today, the Florida Panthers top PP unit is a great play tonight against a poor Devils team. Florida is the #2 ranked PP this season, and even thought the Devils has the 4th ranked PK I still like this matchup because they also take the 6th most penalties this season.

NHL DFS Lineup Build:

I want to start my build with the Penguins by taking Sidney Crosby, Phil Kessel, and  Matt Murray in net. Next I want to move onto the Buffalo/Detroit game by going with Jack Eichel, Victor Olofsson, Tyler Bertuzzi, and Filip Hronek. This will leave you with just $3,550 per player, but you should be able to get a decent utility spot and punt d man to fill out your roster.
