The Undertaker not being at WrestleMania 35 isn’t the worst thing
Phenomenal entrances
If there’s one thing that WrestleMania does better than any other major wrestling event out there it’s put on epic intros for their Superstars. There’s been quite of few memorable WrestleMania entrances in past years but no one tops the Phenom when it comes to pomp and circumstance.
The Undertaker usually strolled to the ring, Paul Bearer leading the way, with the sound of his ominous theme music playing over a silenced, awestruck crowd. But at WrestleMania IX he approached the ring in what could only be called a death cart. Because the host venue that year was Ceasar’s Palace in Las Vegas, NV, the theme for WrestleMania IX was the Roman Empire. While others wore togas and rode camels, The Undertaker made his entrance in his own chariot complete with a large black vulture.
During the Dead Man’s biker phase he rode to the ring at WrestleMania XIX on one of his own motorcycles to the tune of Limp Bizkit’s “Rollin”. One of the most epic parts of this entrance is Taker opening up and taking off down the ramp towards the ring.
At WrestleMania 25, his match with Shawn Michaels would showcase two entrances that would contrast each other. Michaels had become a born-again Christian and opted to “descend from the heavens” where The Undertaker would “rise up from hell.”
WrestleMania XX marked the return of The Undertaker in a match against Kane. Druids lined the aisle, each with a flaming torch up high as ‘Taker passed beneath them. The sight set Kane’s lip to quiver and chants of “Undertaker” filled Madison Square Garden. Those are just a few of Undertaker’s memorable walks into WrestleMania.
