WrestleMania 35 results: Tony Nese unseats Buddy Murphy, wins Cruiserweight title

The WWE Universe have a new cruiserweight champion as “The Juggernaut” Tony Nese bested “The Premiere Athlete” Buddy Murphy at WrestleMania 35.
The first match on the WrestleMania pre-show saw Buddy Murphy face off against Tony Nese in a fast-paced encounter with an expected outcome for most of the fans. Murphy donned comic book villain The Joker-inspired gear and Nese rocked a blistering white set that accented his very acclaimed abs.
The match started out at 100 miles an hour as Nese charged Murphy out of the gate and Murphy rose up to meet him. Murphy relied on his explosive offense throughout the match while battling Nese’s unrelenting pace and impressive feats of strength.
Murphy looked a bit shocked while defending the immense pressure that Nese put on him but Murphy eventually got a few lucky shots in to settle “The Pectacular One” down. Coming back from commerical, we saw Nese power out of a rest hold and continue to pour on the his no nonsense offense.
Both men seemed to anticipate each other’s moves as the commentary team, led by Vic Joseph, constantly referenced the former tenuous alliance between the two competitors.
Nese eventually settled in on an explosive combination of moves which seemed to rock Murphy, that included several powerful arm strikes.
The match reached a fever pitch as Murphy went for his finisher, Murphy’s Law, which Nese was able to kick out of. Nese then came back strong with a fosbury flop and his finisher, The Running Nese, allowing Nese to pick up the win.
Nese celebrated to a decent crowd reaction with a a smile beaming on his face as he was crowned the new face of the Cruiserweight division.
