2019 NCAA Tournament: Championship Game Prediction
Most people had their brackets intact through the first weekend with very few upsets in the 2019 NCAA tournament. When the second weekend came along, so did the upsets. When was your team knocked out? Mine hasn’t been yet!

Fortunately, the round by round game is still alive, and we have a mostly clean slate! And the best part: each correct pick earns a donation to Coaches vs. Cancer. So keep playing the round by round!
I only have 41 out of 64 games correct. That’s one game better than last year, but still nowhere near winning this thing. I did win the Fantasy CPR readers group, so there is that. Thanks to all that participated!
(1)Virginia vs. (3)Texas Tech
For the second straight year, a one seed and a three seed will face off in the title game. Last year the one seed won going away. This year, that may not be the case. Both teams got here with very good defensive performances in the National Semifinals.
Virginia had to hold off a huge Auburn comeback. Kyle Guy was fouled on a three with a second left and nailed all three free throws to pull out the win. I understand that’s a tough call, but it was the right one. I do feel bad for Auburn. It was a great run for them and one they could duplicate next year.
This wasn’t supposed to happen for Texas Tech. Not with all of the players they lost from last year’s Elite Eight run. I saw this coming. This defense is outstanding. We have seen it time and time again throughout the tournament.
This is going to be a very low scoring game. Virginia probably has the better offense of the two, but I’m pretty sure Texas Tech has the best defense. Will Virginia get redemption? Or will Texas Tech make their first Final Four trip a very memorable one?
Pick: Virginia
We may see one of the lowest scoring championships ever here. The only thing I know is that it’s going to be a close game, and to bet the under!
