Ty Gerome is playing big boy basketball

Ty Gerome averaged just a little under two points less a game than Kyle Guy throughout the 2018-19 campaign. But what Gerome brings to the table might be even more beneficial when they suit up against the Red Raiders Monday Night. Gerome has been playing out of his mind the past two games.

With a final stat line of 24 points, five rebounds and seven assists against the Purdue Boilermakers and producing 21 points, nine rebounds and six assists against Auburn, it’s safe to say this guy has been playing the best ball of his college career and leaving it all on the floor. Guy and Gerome have become college basketball’s best one-two punch during March Madness.

It’s hard to imagine Gerome will slow down against a Red Raider team which has allowed roughly 56 points per game to opposing offenses this season. Gerome is arguably the best player on the Cavaliers, depending on who you ask. We like to think of him and Guy has the college basketball splash brothers. If they want to cut down some more nets Monday night that’s exactly what they will need to be.
