The college basketball season is over so now it’s time to lay out the early Top 25 college basketball rankings for next season. Who comes in at No. 1?

Virginia ends the 2018-2019 season on top but will they be the No. 1 team in the first look at next season’s college basketball rankings?

Virginia and Texas Tech — the national title game everyone expected, right? — battled it out on Monday night for the championship and like the rest of the Elite Eight field leading up to the Final Four and title game, this one didn’t disappoint.

Two elite defenses faced off against each other and there were even some potential NBA lottery picks to keep an eye on.

Overall, this was a successful season of college basketball and even though everyone’s favorite superstar Zion Williamson didn’t wow crowds in the Final Four due to being knocked out early, the tournament didn’t lack intrigue.

Now that the season is officially in the books, that means it’s time to start looking at next season and what to expect from potential contenders in 2019-20.

Will we see Duke sit atop the rankings again or will an under-the-radar team rise to the top? Is it going to be a blue blood dominated top-10 or have Texas Tech and Auburn changed the landscape of college basketball for the foreseeable future?

Who could come in at No. 1 in the preseason AP Top 25 for 2019-20?
