Welcome to this edition of FanDuel PGA Picks from FantasyCPR.com. Here you will find players to target for this weeks infamous Masters Tournament, which takes place at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.

In this article, I will present to you some Fantasy Golf players to consider from each price tier for FanDuel PGA. Some plays will be geared toward cash games, and some for GPP tournaments. Some of course will also technically qualify as both. As we break each play down, I will be sure to specify which type of contests I am targeting that player in.

I will give two players to target from $11K up to the top salary, two targets from the $10K-$11K range, and two from the $9-10K range. After that will come my top value plays from the $8-9K range, along with a couple of GPP flyers to consider for tournament play.

Last but certainly not least, I will end the article the ever popular sample lineup we like to do here at FantasyCPR. Without further ado, let get right to the Masters picks for FanDuel

FanDuel PGA: Top Tier Picks: ($11,000+)

Rory McIlroy – $12,100 – (GPP)

It is shaping that Rory will be the chalk this week, and because I agree with everything Pat Mayo said in our chat today, I will only be using McIlroy in tournament plays. I won’t have a ton of exposure, but his recent form and course history here at Augusta make him a near impossible fade if you are making multiple lineups.

While he hasn’t won a green jacket yet obviously, nobody has been better overall maybe at the Masters over the last five years. McIlroy’s worst finish in that span was a T-10 in 2016, giving him five straight top-tens. If the wind stays manageable and McIlroy can stay in control of his driver, he will be right there all week. If the wind comes in gusts over 20 MPH like is currently forecast, it could be a long week for Rory.

Dustin Johnson – $12,000 – (Cash/GPP)

My top play this week, my pick to win, and the golfer that I will have the most exposure to, is Dustin Johnson. Again, like @ThePME said in our chat, DJ is the best player in the world in the elements. If the wind is as expected, give Johnson the advantage, and I expect him to be gunning hard for his first Masters victory, and his first green jacket.

Rory has been slightly hotter, and has a slightly better history, and everyone seems to remember DJ’s freak accident which forced him to withdraw prior to the 2017 Masters. The bottom line is this. Johnson has been really good as well here, with three top-tens in his last three tries. He T-10 last year, T-6 in 2015, and T-4 in 2016. He is a safer play than McIlroy overall in my opinion this week all things considered, and I will be starting my cash lineups right here this week.

***Also Consider: Justin Rose – $11,800***

FanDuel PGA: Mid Tier Picks: ($10,000 – $11,000)

Paul Casey – $10,800 – (Cash)

I think if Paul Casey is not on your radar this week, you are doing something wrong. Sure his track record at majors isn’t great, as his best finish ever was his T-3 at the 2010 Open Championship, but he has been very good here at Augusta, which I believe trumps performances elsewhere.

Casey T-10 last year at the Masters, and also finished in the top-ten from 2015-2017 as well. The fact that he has been right in it for four years straight is something that nobody in this price range can offer. Casey has a win and three top-fives in his last five events, so his form is as good as any as well. He should be chalk in cash games, and I will have a ton of exposure.

Hideki Matsuyama – $10,600 – (Cash/GPP)

If you pass on D.J and Rory for cash this week and decide to go more balanced, I can’t disagree with that strategy. Pricing is so soft that there are plenty of viable approaches here. If this is your route, you should start with Casey, and then go right to Hideki Matsuyama.

Hideki-Bot has rounded into form just in time for the first major of the year, as he comes in off a T-8 at the Players Championship in his last stroke-play action. His best finish this year was a T-3 at the Farmers Insurance Open, and he has five top-20’s in eight total events this year.

Matsuyama has been good here at Augusta as well over the last couple of years, so the combination on course history and form should make him a popular play in all formats. He has finished in the top-20 at the Masters for four straight years, with his best finish being a solo fifth place in 2015.

***Also Consider: Francesco Molinari $10,900 – Adam Scott $10,100***

FanDuel PGA: Low Tier Picks: ($9,000 – $10,000)

Matt Kuchar – $9,700 – (Cash)

Well this is another no-brainer in my opinion at least for cash games, and was another instant lock button for me. Kuchar under $10K at any time is robbery, and now he is hot as ever, and has been better than average at the Masters as well.

Kuch has made nine straight cuts at Augusta, which puts him company with just Adam Scott. Rory and Rose both have made eight straight cuts at the Masters in comparison. In those nine years, Kuchar has cracked the top-five three times, with the last coming two years ago in 2017, when he T-4.

On top of the solid history, Kuchar is already having a tremendous season. Two wins already and two more additional top-tens including last week at the Valero Texas Open makes me love Kuch at this price. I will be playing him in all formats.

Louis Oosthuizen – $9,700 – (GPP)

If you are looking for a nice pivot from Kuchar that will likely be less than 10% owned here on FanDuel in large field GPP’s, consider the South African veteran Louis Oosthuizen. You can say pretty much the same things about Oosty here as I already have with everyone else I have recommended, so let’s see how it breaks down.

Oosthuizen has made five straight cuts here at the Masters, and his best finish in that span was his T-12 last year. Prior to that though he was shaky missing cuts every year from 2009-2013, except in 2012. For that year, for whatever reason, Oosty put it all together and had the best finish of his life here at Augusta with a solo second.

The recent form is the same story. Oosthuizen is either on or off, never much in between. He has missed two cuts in six events which is some cause for concern, but by the same token, he also has two top-fives, including his T-2 at the Valspar Championship. Another outlier I considered, Oosty was also better than most at match play two weeks ago, as he finished in the final eight.

FanDuel PGA: Top Value Picks: (Below $9,000)

Kevin Kisner – $8,700 – (Cash)

Moving into our value plays now, I think everyone including myself is going to have a hard time passing on the WGC-Dell Match Play champ at below $9K here. I think this is more chalk, especially for cash games, but it is hard to argue it at all, as Kisner is back to being a consistent cut-maker, and has also made cuts here at Augusta. This kind of consistency is rarely found in this value range, so it is very hard to ignore.

This will be Kisner’s fourth straight Masters, and fourth overall in his career. He has made the cut all three years, but his best finish was last year, when T-28 at even par. In pretty much the same fashion, he is perfect making cuts in 2019, and has finished in the mid-20’s six straight times!

It is pretty weird to look at but true nonetheless. Before his victory at match-play two weeks ago, Kisners finishes went like this. T-24. T-22, T-23, T-27, T-28, T-26. I am going to go out on a limb and say he finishes somewhere tied in the 20’s.

Charley Hoffman – $8,500 – (GPP)

He will probably sneak into some cash lineups this week, and I get it. However, I would rather play Kisner at $200 more, just for the longer stretch of great form, and the fact that he seems like the safer play of the two. Don’t get me wrong though, I will have plenty of Hoffman in tournament play. In fact, he will likely be my highest owned value play this week.

Hoffman was in terrible form not too long ago, missing three straight cuts from the Genesis Open to the Players Championship. Something must have clicked though for the veteran, as he cracked the top-20 at the Valspar with at T-18 finish, and then followed that with last weeks memorable run at the Valero Texas Open, where he came up short of Corey Conners and finished solo second.

So two good weeks of form predicated by three awful weeks. Thankfully over the last four years here at Augusta, Hoffman has done things well. He has three top-25’s in those four, with his best finish a T-9 in 2005. Just the advantage of knowing the course, and coming in with confidence, make Hoffman another solid value play this week.

***Bonus GPP Flyers: Charles Howell $8,600 – Jimmy Walker $8,300***
