What an amazing March Madness we had for the 2019 campaign. Let’s take a look at the odds for 2020.

The Virginia Cavaliers are National Champions. And they’re already the betting favorites to repeat, according to Caesars Palace.

With blue blood programs like North Carolina, Duke, Kentucky and Kansas all coming back next season for another shot to add to their trophy cases, it should be another exciting season on tap. The odds are sure to fluctuate with NBA Draft declarations, although the expected departures of stars like Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett from Duke are factored into the odds.

But with transfers, recruiting announcements, surprise declarations and unforeseen injuries, the odds will move over the course of the next several months before the 2019-2020 season tips.

For now, Virginia is the capital of the college basketball world with 5/1 odds. Tony Bennett will have a different team than the one that cut down the nets at U.S. Bank Stadium as De’Andre Hunter is expected to declare for the NBA Draft where he should be a lottery pick. Then there are juniors, Kyle Guy and Ty Jerome who could leave school early for the NBA.

Nevertheless, Kihei Clark will most assuredly be back to be the leader of the squad if the Big 3 departs for the next level. Bennett’s program is built to withstand losses and rebuild on the fly.

Duke and Kentucky are almost always at the top but they come in tied for second at 8/1 odds.
