Drop everything you’re doing and watch the WNBA Draft tonight
The WNBA unvieled a new logo and will welcome in a stacked class of future stars at tonight’s draft.
Buckle up for the future, because it’s here in the WNBA.
This year’s draft class is stacked with stars from March Madness that we’ve come to know and love over the years. Oregon star Sabrina Ionescu decided to return for one more year (one in which she will be the face of college basketball) but even without her elecritcity in the class, there’s so much talent to boot that the WNBA is going to end the night even better than it already was.
Las Vegas, who already has a superstar-in-the-making with A’ja Wilson, is the most bummed about Ionescu returning for one more year at Oregon. Asia Durr is projected to be the top pick, right from the jump we have the possibility of a trade down.
Other stars like Teaira McCowan, Kristine Anigwe, and Napheesa Collier are all projected to be Top 10 picks this year. Notre Dame’s dynamic duo of Jackie Young and Arike Ogunbowale are both entering the draft and could land in perfect spots in either New York, Minnesota, or Indiana.
