Kenny Omega, Young Bucks wrestling at CEO FyterFest

The Elite have announced they will be putting on a show at the CEO Fighting Game Championships in June.
Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks will be competing on Saturday, June 29 in a six man tag contest against fellow AEW wrestlers PAC, and The Lucha Brothers.
The match was announced in a social media campaign which mimicked the marketing strategy of the infamous music festival Fyre Festival.
The match, billed as being part of “FyterFest”, will pit rivals against one another as The Lucha Brothers, Pentagon Jr. and Fenix, will be taking on The Young Bucks at Double or Nothing on May 25.
Meanwhile Omega has been feuding with longtime rival Chris Jericho but will be taking part in this match alongside his fellow Elite members.
The wild card in this contest will be the man who is in line to fight for the AEW Championship in May, the Open The Dream Gate Champion PAC.
This match continues a history of partnership between Omega, a part-time professional gamer, and the CEO brand.
The controversy about the announcement of this event will be that this most likely means the CEO partnership with New Japan Pro Wrestling, Omega’s former promotion, is over as CEO continues to do business with AEW, where Omega also serves as an Executive Vice President.
This seems like it could be a one-match event as a showcase of the top-tier wrestlers of the AEW roster. But there could also be the possibility of more matches being announced for FyterFest. The results of Double or Nothing could reveal what those additional matches may be, and its always possible that further FyterFest announcements are forthcoming.
FyterFest tickets will go on sale in early May. The CEO Fighting Game Championships, the largest video game convention in Florida, is heading into its 10th year. It will take place at Daytona Beach Ocean Center.
