Star Wars Celebration is the largest gathering of Star Wars fans in the galaxy, and this year it’s taking place April 11-15 in Chicago.

This weekend Star Wars fans from all over the world will come together in Chicago to celebrate the Star Wars franchise and all of the wonderful things that come with it. Star Wars Celebration is just that: A celebration of all things Star Wars. It’s a place where fans young and old can enjoy panels, signings, amazing cosplay and the biggest breaking news in the galaxy.

Star Wars Celebration has a long history of bringing fans together. The convention dates back to 1999 when fans gathered in Denver, Colorado, to celebrate the release of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. The show doesn’t have a fixed location and moves all around the world to reach fans everywhere. Sometimes it skips a year. But one thing is for sure: It’s the place for Star Wars fans to gather and celebrate their love of this beloved franchise.

The 2019 Celebration will be one for the record books. Not only is it the 20th anniversary of the first Celebration, but Lucasfilm has been mum about the new movie coming later this year and there’s every reason to believe that there will be a big title reveal and trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX.

Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disneyland in May and Walt Disney World this fall, and fans are eager to learn as much as they can about these immersive new worlds at the Disney Parks. It’s possible that there will be Star Wars news for other Disney Parks announced at this event.

Lastly, when it comes to big news and announcements there has been a ton of buzz surrounding the Disney+ programming coming when the Disney streaming service launches later this year. Included in the buzz are brand new shows like Star Wars: The Mandalorian, a Star Wars Rogue One prequel and the return of Star Wars: Clone Wars. Fans are eager to learn as much as they can about these new shows and fingers are crossed that there could be some exclusive footage.

Here is the complete Star Wars Celebration panel schedule. Stay tuned for all of the news coming out of the big event!
