The all-caps WALTER ERA

Probably worth mentioning in earnest that big hunk of meat WALTER is now WWE United Kingdom Champion. On a dreary Friday night in Brooklyn, Pete Dunne’s reign finally reached its end as WALTER — a man you never thought could fly — came crashing down on The Bruiserweight with a top rope splash for the win.

This bears the question: What is next for NXT UK? Pete Dunne was a dominant champion with a crazy-long reign who appeared to have no equal on the brand. That was, at least until WALTER came around and looked dominant, toppling Dunne in their first meeting. Are we in for another super-long title reign? Is there anyone who can even hold a candle to WALTER?

One person who certainly wants to take their shot is Jordan Devlin. We speculated in the preview whether or not the Irish Ace would stick to his claims from last week if WALTER became champ, and to his credit, he’s not backing down. There’s rumblings of a rematch between Dunne and WALTER, but Devlin has proven that he’s a winner in NXT UK, and feels it’s time for him to get his shot. And for what it’s worth, Devlin and WALTER have recent history together in OTT that people seem to have loved, so any match between the two in NXT UK should hopefully rule as well.
