Hello and welcome to Fantasy CPR’s MLB DFS Weather Report. Today’s post will cover weather forecasts for the enormous 12-game main/late slate. First pitch is set for 6:05 P.M.

Are you new to Fantasy CPR MLB DFS Weather Report? No worries, check out the link to my Weather Report Reference Sheet, explaining what you can expect for each daily weather post.

There is nothing too wild to think about tonight regarding the weather. There are a few opportunities with wind blowing out, but we barely reach double-digit speeds in any home park. Also, tonight’s slate has four match ups that could play under a roof, and can only hope the home team is helped out by fans simultaneously breathing out to help a ball over the fence!

MLB DFS WEATHER REPORT – Main Slate – First 6 games

White Sox @ Yankees  6:05 P.M. CST

  • Temperature:  59°F
  • Wind Speed and Direction:  12-13 MPH N
  • Precipitation:  16% at first pitch
  • Humidity:  Low 70%

What DFS player doesn’t like a match up at Yankee Stadium, or as many would say, the New Yankee Stadium? I went to a game at the original Yankee Stadium the year prior to its ugly twin being utilized.

A 12-13 MPH wind heading North certainly doesn’t help with the long ball as that will push the ball foul on the 3rd base side. You’ll have a better chance with lefties hitting bloop singles between the 2nd baseman and right fielder than a home run. Although no amount of wind can limit the power of behemoth’s like Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge.

Pirates @ Nationals  6:05 P.M. CST

  • Temperature:  68°F
  • Wind Speed and Direction:  12 MPH NNW
  • Precipitation:  47%
  • Humidity:  Low 70%

A slight chance of rain at start time and potential thunderstorms at 8:00 P.M. scares me a bit. Could see similar case as the Cubs game last night with a start time pushed up to try to beat the storm.

Should this game play, wind will help push the ball out towards left field. Let’s keep an eye on that start time and thunderstorms. I’ll update on Twitter @rickyolshansky closer to opening pitch, but before lock time!

Rays @ Blue Jays  6:07 P.M. CST

  • Temperature:  54°F
  • Wind Speed and Direction:  10 MPH NNE
  • Precipitation:  34% at first pitch
  • Humidity:  High 80%

There is a chance of rain at the beginning of the game, but that minimizes as the game goes on. 22% precipitation at 7:00 P.M. and 0% at 8:00 P.M. If the roof is open, hitters will be aided by the 10 MPH wind pushing to right-center field. However, with a chance of rain, it wouldn’t surprise me if the roof was closed. Again, I will update on the roof status closer to game time.

Orioles @ Red Sox  6:10 P.M. CST

  • Temperature:  51°F
  • Wind Speed and Direction:  10-13 MPH N
  • Precipitation:  Less than 10% chance of rain
  • Humidity:  Mid 60%

Fenway Park will see a very slim chance of rain. Shouldn’t be anything to worry about! If hitters can get the ball in the air tonight, we could see a few shots over the Green Monster with wind blowing North. It has been a surprising struggle for the Red Sox thus far, but maybe tonight is the night they turn things around.

Phillies @ Marlins  6:10 P.M. CST

  • Temperature:  80°F
  • Wind Speed and Direction:  10 MPH WNW
  • Precipitation:  47% at first pitch
  • Humidity:  Mid 60%

Another opportunity to close off the stadium to any and all-weather with almost a 50% chance of rain at opening pitch. Check for my update on Twitter for the roof status here. If the roof is open, this might be a game to avoid with wind blowing 10 MPH in towards 3rd base. If the roof is closed, that may be another story!

Mets @ Braves  6:20 P.M. CST

  • Temperature:  77°F
  • Wind Speed and Direction:  6 MPH NNE
  • Precipitation:  34%
  • Humidity:  Mid 50%

Although it is a light wind tonight, much to the pitchers dismay, the ball will be helped to straight away center-field. Defense can only hope that any chance of precipitation will keep the ball in play. Zack Wheeler and Kyle Wright may be in for a long night as each offense has been solid in 2019. The Mets will have to worry about the very-very rich 8-year $100mil Ronald Acuna Jr. and the much less rich Ozzie Albies and his 7-year $35mil.

MLB DFS WEATHER REPORT – Main Slate – Last 6 Games

Athletics @ Rangers  7:05 P.M. CST

  • Temperature:  74°F
  • Wind Speed and Direction:  9 MPH W
  • Precipitation:  Less than 10%
  • Humidity:  Mid to High 40%

Hitters in this game will be experiencing wind blowing directly in their faces at 9 MPH. They won’t be helped with humidity either sitting in the mid to high 40%. At least it will be warm! This might be a game I fade tonight with wind blowing in.

Indians @ Royals  7:15 P.M. CST

  • Temperature:  52°F
  • Wind Speed and Direction:  6-10 MPH ENE
  • Precipitation:  Less than 5%
  • Humidity:  Mid 30%

Alert, Alert!! 6-10 MPH wind heading towards dead center field. Carlos Carrasco of the Indians will hope to miss bats tonight, otherwise we may be in for a high scoring affair. The 8-4 Indians will try to loft the ball tonight to take advantage of the weather. All hitters in play tonight, although a focus will likely be on lefties as both starters throw right-handed.

Padres @ Diamondbacks  8:40 P.M. CST

  • Temperature:  67°F
  • Wind Speed and Direction:  6 MPH SSW
  • Precipitation:  Less than 5%
  • Humidity:  High 20%

A very low chance of rain tonight at less than 5%. It is a low wind as well blowing SSW, which is in at Chase Field. We will check if the roof will be open or closed as the game approaches.

Astros @ Mariners  9:10 P.M. CST

  • Temperature:  53°F
  • Wind Speed and Direction:  6 MPH NNE
  • Precipitation:  Less than 10%
  • Humidity:  High 60 to Low 70%

Another game with light wind, however hitters will be helped as NNE is to left-center field in Seattle. Two very potent offenses should be able to take advantage tonight. I would consider a game stack and hope for a shoot out!

Brewers @ Dodgers  9:10 P.M. CST

  • Temperature:  64°F
  • Wind Speed and Direction:  7 MPH E
  • Precipitation:  No rain in the forecast
  • Humidity:  Mid 50%

The first of two West Coast match ups with similar forecasts. Los Angeles will see a 7 MPH wind aiming towards right and right-center field. Lefties are absolutely in play tonight. Hello Cody Bellinger, Joc Pederson, Max Muncy and Christian Yelich! No threat of rain tonight either between these two top NL squads.

Rockies @ Giants  9:15 P.M. CST

  • Temperature:  56°F
  • Wind Speed and Direction:  7 MPH ESE
  • Precipitation:  No rain in the forecast
  • Humidity:  Mid 70%

Very similar weather to the Dodgers game in San Francisco, just slightly cooler at 56°F. However, the wind will help push the ball to the 399 Ft. center field wall.
