NASCAR DFS Pit Stop: ToyotaCare 250 – Xfinity Series
By Matt Vecchio
Welcome to NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for tonight’s Xfinity series from Richmond Raceway. This article is going to be a little bit different and I am going to tell you to make sure to check me out on Twitter (@MVecchio81) this afternoon as I will update and may even make some changes to my picks after practice and qualifying, since as of this writing the cars have not hit the tracks yet.
Friday night the Xfinity Series competes in the ToyotaCare 250 from Richmond, Va., which is the second of 4 Dash 4 Cash races of the season. Christopher Bell won last week at Bristol and picked up the $100,000 bonus in doing so. Bell will get another shot at another large payday Friday night as he, Cole Custer, Tyler Reddick and Chase Briscoe in the battle for this week’s $100,000 prize and big cardboard check
NASCAR DFS: Leaders of the Pack
Christopher Bell ($12, 700)
2019 Avg Finish: 8.1
Bell is the best driver in the Xfinity series in my opinion and he is a threat to win. He will have a fast car, and will most likely qualify inside the top 5. If Bell somehow qualifies outside the top 5 consider him locked into my lineups and should be for you as well. Bell owned this track last year, sweeping both the April and September race and looks to win his 3rd in a row tonight
Chase Briscoe ($10,100)
2019 Avg Finish: 7.7
Briscoe has 5 straight finishes inside the top 10, and 3 straight top 5’s but he will go probably go over looked again because of the names above him price wise. I really like Briscoe to keep both these streaks going in Richmond, and may even get his first win tonight as well.
Briscoe and Bell are my favorite drivers in this price point ($9,500 and up) but honestly you can’t really go wrong with any of the top drivers in this series. Like I wrote in the open, make sure to follow me on Twitter (@MVecchio81) as I will definitely get some info posted there about practice and qualifying times and will add some drivers to all lists ,not just the top-tier.
NASCAR DFS: Middle of the Pack
Elliott Sadler ($9,200)
2019 Avg Finish: N/A
Sadler finished 3rd in this same last year while leading 30 laps, and finished 6th in September. I believe that Sadler will be a top car in this race based on his history at this track. Before I roster him, I will want to see some practice times from Sadler and the #10.
Michael Annett ($8,400)
2019 Avg Finish: 7.6
Annett comes into tonight’s race with 4 top 10’s in his last 5 races, including an 8th place finish last week in Bristol. While he is not flashy or a big name he drivers the wheels off his car every week and is never really in trouble. He is a nice price to fit in with a top guy like Bell if you want to go the route of only rostering 1 top-tier driver.
I have written up either (or both) Ryan Sieg ($8,600) and Noah Gragson ($8,100) each race this season and they are both good options again this week, but I figured I have berated you this season enough that I would give you a break. I do like both of these guys and I plan on rostering one or both.
NASCAR DFS: Back of the Pack
Zane Smith ($7,200)
2019 Avg Finish: 17.5
Smith had a great race last week. After qualifying 16th he came away with an 11 place finish and 39 DKFP. If we can get something similar to that tonight, Smith will be a bargain at $7,200

Josh Williams ($6,000)
2019 Avg Finish: 22nd
Williams has back to back top 20 finishes, his 2nd and 3rd on the season. For $6,000 you don’t need much from Williams to make value, you just want him to finish the race and pick up a few place differential points.
Matt Mills ($5,300)
2019 Avg Finish: 26.3
Mills is another driver like Williams, he drives a clean race, stays out of trouble and finishes races. He won’t win, or even get a top 15, but he will get you 20-30 points generally and keep you competitive. I love his price, it allows me the space to fit Bell, Briscoe, and Sieg in my lineup which is why you need to roster guys like Mills, BJ McLeod ($6,400) who also owns Mills’ car, and Mike Harmon ($5,400).
