After being named All-Third Team CAA and seeing his coach, Tony Shaver, let go, William & Mary star forward Justin Pierce opted to put his name into the transfer portal to pursue a graduate transfer year elsewhere.

Within days Pierce had heard from over 25 of the top Power Five schools highlights by Gonzaga, Michigan, Florida, and Arizona.

While Pierce is definitely one of the most unknown graduate transfers on the market, when you watch just a few minutes of game highlights from the 6’7″, 215-pound point forward, you see why so many teams are lining up for his services.

Even though his team finished towards the bottom of the pack in the conference, going 14-17 on the season after plenty of loft expectations, Pierce still sat atop several key statistical categories in the CAA.

The redshirt junior, who averaged nearly 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists per game, finished 12th in scoring, third in rebounding, fifth in assists, and seventh in steals. Needless to say, Pierce is a playmaking forward with the ability to stuff stat sheets on any given night.
