Could AEW have a deal in place with Turner to air matches on TNT? That’s the latest rumor about the intriguing new wrestling association.

All Elite Wrestling has made waves on the internet again despite not having a single event since being founded earlier this year. Rumors surfaced that AEW will sign a TV deal with Turner to air a weekly program on TNT. According to a recent report by The Wrap, Turner broadcasting is indeed with talks negotiating with AEW about a potential TV deal, even though they claim that their own insider reported that the deal was“definitely not signed” for the moment.

“The conversations surrounding the deal are ‘pretty complex’ and ‘not imminent,’ the individual said,” Tony Maglio wrote (via The Wrap).

“While having a pact to announce by Turner’s mid-May upfront — an annual event where TV platforms debut their new programming to potential advertisers — would be ideal, it is not a definite.”

There is also a possibility that the AEW TV show will not be a year-round program, the report also stated. This would probably indicate a more friendlier schedule for their performers, in contrast to the heavy schedule that WWE has.

With AEW making the rounds once again, they’ve shown time and time again that there is still a huge interest for their company, despite being around for less than a half a year. Even if Turner broadcasting doesn’t sign a deal with AEW, who’s to say they won’t end up on another major television network? Especially considering the hype that this company has developed. With their first PPV Double or Nothing on the horizon, could this event be a real game-changer for not just AEW, but for professional wrestling as well?
