The Philadelphia 76ers host the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday afternoon for Game 1 of their first-round playoff series. Here’s how to watch this game online via live streaming.

The Philadelphia 76ers filled out their starting lineup during the season, adding both Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris through trades. While their starting unit is among the best in the league, at both ends of the floor, they’ll need their depth to hold up against a feisty Brooklyn Nets team. That challenge could be a lot more complicated if Joel Embiid does indeed miss Game 1 with lingering knee pain. All indications are that he will likely not play in Game 1.

The Nets made the playoffs, their first appearance in three seasons, thanks to a deep and versatile rotation and the star turn of D’Angelo Russell. His scoring and playmaking carried the Nets through the extended absence of Caris LeVert and his optimism running high. Butler will likely be the primary defender he faces in Game 1. Although it’s a small sample, Russell has had his way with Butler in the regular season, scoring 68.4 points per 100 possessions across the 38 possessions the two were matched up in the regular season.

Win probability models at Nylon Calculus peg the 76ers as heavy favorites, with an 83 percent chance of winning the series and a five-game victory as the most likely outcome. However, things become much closer if Embiid can’t play and even if his absence just allows Brooklyn the opportunity to steal a win in Game 1, it could change the entire complexity of the season.
