Liverpool vs. Chelsea: Watch Premier League online
By Dan Voicescu
Liverpool face Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday, April 14. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
This is a crucial match for Liverpool in the quest to end a 29-year-old Premier League title drought. Their failure to beat Chelsea in the last eight encounters at Anfield is of some concern for the Liverpool, although the Reds form of late is encouraging, having won their last six games in all competitions. Without any notable injuries to worry about, Jurgen Klopp’s main lineup decision concerns Virgil van Dijk’s center back pairing. Dejan Lovren featured on Tuesday in the Champions League, and may get the nod over Joel Matip against Chelsea.
Chelsea have returned to good form over the last few weeks, winning their last three Premier League games and are in the thick of a tight battle for a Champions League spot. Even a point on Sunday may go a long way in determining the top four at the end of the season. Chelsea also benefit from having Eden Hazard, arguably the best player in the Premier League at the moment, who has almost single-handedly kept the Blues in the top four spots by scoring or assisting on half of Chelsea’s goals this season. Maurizio Sarri does not have any major injury concerns, and it remains to be seen whether he opts to start Callum Hudson-Odoi or go with either veteran Willian or Pedro instead.
