Tiger Woods has finally won again at Augusta, and everyone lost their minds for different reasons.

Waiting is the hardest part, especially when it comes to witnessing greatness.

It had been over two decades since Tiger Woods won The Master and we had already reached the point where we reckoned it’d never happen again. There was a very real chance that the world had already witnessed Tiger win the last Major of his career.

Then Sunday at Augusta happened.

Tiger Woods victory at The Masters was the fifth title of his career and the first Masters win for him since 2005. A lot of people wanted it to happen — and have been wanting it — but we didn’t think it actually would.

Until it did.

Tiger even got a shout from President Obama.

The win was more than just a special and historic moment for sports fans. With the legalization of gambling spreading, lots of people bet on Tiger to win — which he typically doesn’t. When he finally pulled off his victory at Augusta, you could hear the shrieks of a thousand bookies realizing they’re going to have to pay out big money.

It was a historic moment for golf, one with layers of reaction to it. Whatever the approach to the conversation was, there was no way to not talk about Tiger Woods on Sunday — and it’s been a while since that has been the case.
