MLB DFS Weather: Report for Monday April 15th – Main Slate
Hello and welcome to Fantasy CPR’s MLB DFS Weather Report. Today’s post will cover weather forecasts for the nine game main slate. The wind could factor into some decisions with these forecasts so let’s get to it!

How fitting it was to see snow in Chicago yesterday, and yes I mean actual snow, not Jon Snow! I’m sure Joe Maddon spent his off day sitting on the couch watching Game of Thrones with the rest of us. All joking aside, we made it through the Sunday slate with minimal weather damage outside of Chicago and Anaheim PPD and a short delay in Cumberland, GA for the Mets and Braves.
Today looks to be much of the same with a slim chance of rain across the board. Wind direction may not be as favorable as we would like in many of these games. However, there are two games with the wind blowing directly out. So please read on as we dive into the details!
MLB DFS Weather Report for Monday April 15th – Main Slate
Mets @ Phillies 6:05 P.M. CST
Temperature: 54°F
Wind Speed and Direction: 18-20 MPH ESE
Precipitation: 20% at first pitch
Humidity: High 30%
High winds tonight in Philly should push the ball towards the RF foul pole and foul. Picture every left-handed golfer with the inability to fix the hook on their drive. There is a slight chance of rain early on as well but that dwindles as the game goes on. By 8:00 P.M., the forecast says no rain. Temperature could feel about 10° colder.
Cubs @ Marlins 6:10 P.M. CST
Temperature: 83°F
Wind Speed and Direction: 8-9 MPH SW
Precipitation: <10%
Humidity: Low 60%
Cubs will be happy to be out of Chicago and in the warm, Miami, Florida. Less than 10% chance of rain is not threatening at all. It is likely that the roof will be open tonight which may not bode as well for hitters. Although slight, the wind will be blowing directly in the face of the hitter.
Cardinals @ Brewers 6:40 P.M. CST
Temperature: 47°F
Wind Speed and Direction: 10-12 MPH NNW
Precipitation: <10%
Humidity: Mid-High 50%
Double-digit winds heading towards home plate is not ideal for the hitter. However, with these cold temperatures in the Midwest, we could have a roof-closed opportunity in Miller Park. It will be a cool 47° and wind chills will make it even colder. Tailgating status remains high, as always!
Blue Jays @ Twins 6:40 P.M. CST
Temperature: 49°F
Wind Speed and Direction: 7 MPH NW
Precipitation: 16-20%
Humidity: High 50%
Although it is a low wind speed, it will be pushing balls to the foul line on the 3rd base side. It will still feel pretty cold sitting in the stands in Minneapolis, but who knows with fans used to living this far North. 49° might be shorts and t-shirt weather.
MLB DFS Weather Report for Monday April 15th – Main Slate
Angels @ Rangers 7:05 P.M. CST
Temperature: 75°F
Wind Speed and Direction: 13-15 MPH N
Precipitation: No rain in the forecast
Humidity: Mid 40%
Similar to the Twins and Blue Jays game, we will have a slightly stronger wind heading towards the 3rd base line. Warmer temperatures will make this game more comfortable to play in, but still, no help from the wind here.
Royals @ White Sox 7:10 P.M. CST
Temperature: 45°F
Wind Speed and Direction: 8 MPH NNW
Precipitation: <10%
Humidity: Mid 50%
It is unfortunate for the White Sox that they have to come back home after taking two out of three in Yankee Stadium. It won’t be fun coming back to chilly weather and snow-covered grounds. On top of that, there will be a light wind blowing in the face of the hitters. The home run ball could be limited tonight.

Indians @ Mariners 9:10 P.M. CST
Temperature: 50°F
Wind Speed and Direction: 6 MPH SSE
Precipitation: <10%
Humidity: Mid 60%
Not entirely sure just yet if the roof will be opened or closed tonight. Should it remain open with a less than 10% chance of rain, wind will push baseballs towards the 1st base line and foul. Although 6 MPH is not much to worry about as these ball players are plenty strong enough to push a ball through that.
Reds @ Dodgers 9:10 P.M. CST
Temperature: 57-58°F
Wind Speed and Direction: 6 MPH N
Precipitation: <5%
Humidity: High 70%
The West Coast is where the fun begins! Finally, some wind to be excited about. Maybe a little colder than usual in Los Angeles and a very low chance of rain. The humidity could help here as well with the 6 MPH wind straight out to left-center. This is another opportunity for the lefties to rake.
Rockies @ Padres 9:10 P.M. CST
Temperature: 59°F
Wind Speed and Direction: 6 MPH NNE
Precipitation: No rain in the forecast
Humidity: Low 70%
Similar to the Dodgers game, San Diego will experience light winds heading NNE, which in Petco, is out to right center field. I feel pretty good about right-handed hitters tonight. Think Manny Machado, Fernando Tatis Jr., Nolan Arenado and Trevor Story to name a few.
