14. Atlanta Falcons – Montez Sweat, EDGE, Mississippi State

Remember when the Falcons went to the Super Bowl a few years ago? They did so with a pass rush led by Vic Beasley, and Montez Sweat is very much that same type of edge rusher. Sweat had a strong finish to his college career at Mississippi State the last two years after beginning his career at Michigan State.

Sweat had 30 tackles for loss and 22 sacks the last two years in the SEC where he and Jeffery Simmons were a nasty duo for opposing teams to deal with, but he can form a new lethal combination with Beasley, who could use some help on the opposite side to boost his production.

Sweat was one of the big winners at the Combine when he ran a 4.41 time in the 40, breaking the record for the fastest time by a defensive lineman. Sweat already had the attention of the NFL but after that performance, his stock went soaring. In a division with Drew Brees, Cam Newton and Jameis Winston, the Falcons are going to need all the pass rush help they can get, and Sweat provides a ton of help.
