20. Pittsburgh Steelers – Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State

Despite the trade of Antonio Brown, the Steelers elect not to take a receiver at this part of this mock draft. Instead, they fill another position that was weakened with a different trade. The Steelers traded starting right tackle Marcus Gilbert to the Cardinals, so here they take Washington State left tackle Andre Dillard.

Dillard has been a steady riser throughout the pre-draft process. He comes from a program that loved to throw the ball so he’s conditioned to pass blocking. He’s athletic and light on his feet and should shield off pass rushers trying to get to Ben Roethlisberger, who is famously not elusive in the pocket.

Is offensive tackle the sexiest position to fill in a draft? No, but it’s the second most important position on offense and one that is difficult to fill after the first round.
