Women Of Honor

This week’s edition of Women Of Honor featured two former WOH Champions against two newcomers to the division.

The recently-dethroned champ Mayu Iwatani teamed up with the inaugural WOH Champion Sumie Sakai in a unique and powerful tag team going up against Rob Van Dam trainee Katie Forbes and the world-traveled Mazzerati.

Forbes and Mazzerati played the heels in this match as the crowd was firmly behind the former champions. Mazzerati wasted no time in making a mark as she slapped Iwatani in the face to start the match. Forbes employed a very crisp back handspring elbow as the heels worked over the weaker Sakai. Iwatani eventually got the hot tag and executed an insane flipping springboard double arm drag on both her opponents as the crowd went crazy. Forbes, not to be outdone, came in and lifted both Sakai and Iwatani on her shoulders and executed several squats which sent the crowd into a fever pitch. The momentum swapped back and forth a few more times before Sakai pulled off her rolling cutter finisher, Smash Mouse, to get the win for the faces.

All four women looked great but the one who spent the least amount of time in the ring seemed to be Iwatani, which might not bode well for her future in WOH. Forbes and Mazzerati both pulled off very unique offense and won the crowd over by the end of the match. Both women would be great additions to the WOH roster going forward.
