4. Arizona Cardinals

There has been plenty of buzz that the Arizona Cardinals want to find their future franchise quarterback by drafting Kyler Murray with the top pick in the draft, but there is no guarantee Murray becomes an NFL star (despite what Cardinals’ coach Kliff Kingsbury may believe). Wilson already is a star, and he could help transform the Cardinals into a team worthy of competing with the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West.

The fit is awkward here because it would require Seattle to trade Wilson inside its own division, where he would face them twice a year with Arizona. This type of situation isn’t unprecedented, however, as evidenced by when the New England Patriots traded Drew Bledsoe to the Buffalo Bills after Tom Brady won Super Bowl XXXVI.

The price tag for this kind of deal would undoubtedly be the top pick in this year’s draft, giving the Seahawks a chance to select Murray or the quarterback of their choice to replace Wilson, another first round pick, and multiple other high draft choices. The Cardinals would happily pay that price to get Wilson on their roster, but it remains to be seen if Seattle can stomach the thought of having to deal with Wilson twice a year for the rest of his career.
