The first night of the WWE Superstar Shake-Up brought a Monday Night Raw facelift via additions from SmackDown Live and NXT.

The first night of the 2019 WWE Superstar Shake-Up is in the books and we’ve already seen an explosion of fresh faces. Let’s take a look at some of the changes to the Monday Night Raw roster.

In recent years, the Superstar Shake-Up has seen new Superstars be announced to a given brand by having matches that feature that person or team. We barely got off the ground with Raw this week, with Shane and Stephanie McMahon attempting to speak about the two-night event. With no warning or announcement, The Miz burst onto the scene and went off on Shane. Miz took a chair and blasted his WrestleMania opponent across the back and sent him retreating to the locker room. Officially, he became the first WWE Superstar to jump ship to a new show.

Throughout the night, we saw several surprises. From NXT, we saw The Viking Experience. Well, for those of you keeping score at home, they are now formerly known as Rowe and Hanson, The War Raiders. They teamed up with The Revival to face the Raw Tag Team Champions Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins and the exciting duo of Ricochet and Aleister Black. Here’s a list of who made the jump to Raw this week.

  • The Miz
  • The Viking Experience
  • Cedric Alexander
  • Andrade
  • Zelina Vega
  • Rey Mysterio
  • Lars Sullivan
  • The Usos
  • Naomi
  • EC3
  • Eric Young
  • Lacey Evans
  • AJ Styles

The final name on the list was a big one, as former WWE Champion AJ Styles was announced as the mystery partner for Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns against Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin. He will get a chance to take on a whole new level of competition, now that Raw has taken on some new faces.

With all of these names now a full-fledged member of Monday Night Raw, now the question is who does SmackDown Live get? Even Xavier Woods is concerned about who they will replace the names that left the Tuesday-night brand, as he took to Twitter following the announcement of AJ Styles moving to Raw.

As exciting as it will be to see some of these new faces on Raw, now it’s going to be equally as fun to watch SmackDown Live and see who will make the jump to the blue brand on Tuesday night.

Who do you think will make the jump to SmackDown this week? It’s going to be hard to replace the likes of AJ Styles, The Usos, and The Miz. But the Raw brand and NXT have more than enough talent to restock the Superstar lake on Tuesday nights.
