Welcome to this edition of FanDuel PGA Picks from FantasyCPR.com. Here you will find players to target for this weeks RBC Heritage, which takes place at Harbour Town Golf Links, in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

In this article, I will present to you some Fantasy Golf players to consider from each price tier for FanDuel PGA. Some plays will be geared toward cash games, and some for GPP tournaments. Some of course will also technically qualify as both. As we break each play down, I will be sure to specify which type of contests I am targeting that player in.

I will give two players to target from $11K up to the top salary, two targets from the $10K-$11K range, and two from the $9-10K range. After that will come my top value plays from the $8-9K range, along with a couple of GPP flyers to consider for tournament play. Last but certainly not least, I will end the article the ever popular sample lineup we like to do here at FantasyCPR.

I used to give a quick recap here from the previous week, but with the Masters last week and the fact that I am still trying to keep up with MLB, I am forced to scrap that portion of this article in an attempt to shorten things up. If you are ever curious as to how things worked out, my picks along with the other top experts in the field are tracked at Daily Overlay.

Without further ado, let get right to the RBC Heritage picks for FanDuel.

FanDuel PGA: Top Tier Picks: ($11,000+)

Dustin Johnson – $12,400 – (GPP)

Even though it is the week after the Masters, we have a surprisingly nice field here teeing it up at the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Four of the worlds top-ten highlight the field here which I would almost describe as top-heavy, and Dustin Johnson is once again a tough fade as he always is.

Unfortunately for me, the ability to lock in the top play for cash games is just not there for me this week. There is no Kevin Kisner at $8,700, and after Jason Kokrak at $9,600, I just do not see a cash play that I am 100% comfortable with under $9K.

Due to the lack of safe value at the bottom this week, I am going against my normal approach, and taking the balanced approach in cash games this week. It will be chalky which I hate in PGA, but you can make a really nice, safe lineup in the mid $9 to mid $10K range this week, and it makes a ton of sense to do so.

As far as tournaments go, I will certainly have some DJ. There is one GPP flyer I like at the very bottom this week who opens up a bit at the top, and I am solely banking on that one golfer to get me exposure to the big guns in GPP’s. As of right now, I will likely have around 30% DJ in my 25 lineups this week.

Xander Schauffele – $11,600 – (GPP)

While I always love me some DJ and have a hard time not playing him anytime he is in the field, I am putting in some extra Schauffele lineups in this week. The kid was really fun to watch at the Masters, as he shot a 68 on Sunday to finish T-2.

Although he recently missed a cut at the Players, prior to that he ripped off seven straight top-tens going back to his win at the WGC-HSBC Champions in late October last year. Schauffele won again at the Sentry TOC to kick off 2019, and he continues to prove himself a threat every time he competes.

Much like DJ, I think Schauffele is definitely “cash safe” obviously, but again we go back to the lack of safe options at the bottom. I think the masses will be on Matt Kuchar in this range, and that makes him the perfect fade for GPP play, and makes a less interesting player in Schauffele more appealing.

Schauffele likely will not grade out well on your models this week, as the strokes gained: approach stat is likely what you are focusing in on. Xanders’ game does not necessarily translate well here at Harbour Town, but these factors will all drive down his GPP ownership. For that reason, I will be heavy on X this weekend.

FanDuel PGA: Mid Tier Picks: ($10,000 – $11,000)

Patrick Cantlay – $10,900 – (GPP)

I tried really hard to squeeze Cantlay in my cash lineup after bumping down from DJ, but I still could not make it work. Well there was a way, but I ultimately decided against it for a more balanced approach, and instead will load up on Cantlay in GPP play. This is my favorite play of the week for the price, and likely my top overall GPP target on the weekend.

Cantlay has played Harbour Town really well in his first two trips, with a T-3 finish in 2017, and a T-7 last year. When I see that history for two straight years, and couple it with what I saw from him the last two days at Augusta, I get excited to lock him in some lineups.

If it wasn’t for 73’s on day’s one and two at the Masters, Cantlay may have been right there duking it out with Tiger Woods and company on Sunday. He shot 12-under par total on the weekend, firing a 64 on Saturday, and a 68 on Sunday, and that was good enough to bring him into a T-9 finish, and a fantastic bounce-back from his missed cut at the Players Championship.

Kevin Kisner – $10,400 – (Cash)

Well we are finally hitting the cash game range, and it all will start with a good “guy who plays well in his hometown” narrative. All kidding aside, it is simply just hard to ignore the fact that the 35-year-old WGC-Dell Match Play champion is just on a heater. Truth be told, Kisner is more of a “Georgia Boy” as he was a Bulldog in college, but he was born and currently resides in South Carolina, so you can shape it however you would like.

After his T-21st at the Masters last week giving him yet another T-20-something, it is hard to argue that Kisner is playing really methodical golf, and making very few mistakes. That is exactly the type of thing I look for when making my cash squad, and although we aren’t getting him at that gift price we got last week, he is worth spending up for to anchor your cash games. And when you take a look right below this last sentence with the others to consider, you basically see the rest of the cash core for me this week.

FanDuel PGA: Low Tier Picks: ($9,000 – $10,000)

Jason Kokrak – $9,600 – (Cash)

This is pretty much the chalk lock of the week here, as Kokrak will garner somewhere around 50% ownership in cash games at this price. I am right on board with that, as Kokrak’s overall form is among the best in the game right now, and I will even sprinkle in some GPP ownership here as well, as I expect him to continue his stretch.

Kokrak has not missed a cut this season, a perfect 12-for-12, and he comes in to Hilton Head Island off of back-to-back top-tens. He T-2 at the Valspar Championship, then after a week off, followed that with a T-7 at the Valero Texas Open. Overall in this run, Kokrak has notched six top-20’s, and he has four top-tens in his last five events. That kind of consistency has me just as locked in as everyone else.

Graeme McDowell – $9,400 – (Cash)

My final cash play for the week, as I think this is as low as I am going, is another red-hot golfer in Graeme McDowell. I have a feeling Ryan Moore will be the more popular pick this week as his style of play lines up just as well, but he and Luke Donald just feel like chalk bombs to me this week.

I know Donald has a remarkable amount of runner-up finishes here, but he has made just one cut in his last six events, and he missed the cut here last year as well. I am fading Donald, and for me, the debate was more between McDowell and Moore.

Moore will check all the boxes, and he is coming in in pretty solid form after his final round 64 at the Valero, but the fact that this a links course, and McDowell has been rolling a little hotter a little longer than Moore, have me leaning the way of the Irishman.

McDowell won this event in 2013, but has only cracked the top-25 once here since, and that was the following year in 2014. Regardless of the results here recently, I am more focused in on his recent form, as he is coming off a win at the Corales Puntacana Championships, which was followed with a T-7 at the Valero Texas Open.

FanDuel PGA: Top Value Picks: (Below $9,000)

Alexander Noren – $8,700 – (GPP)

We are finally down here at the bottom, and the search for value this week on FanDuel was certainly a rough one. I like Matt Wallace still, as he has crept under $9K, but I feel like I write him up every week. So in an effort to step outside the box in many ways, I am going to recommend a very risky Alex Noren as my top value play this week.

Look it is really bad. Wallace will make my player pool, and I am deciding between first timers here and consistent cut-makers in Joel Dahmen and J.T. Poston to round it out at the bottom. I will go way down to last years champ and this weeks GPP flyer Satoshi Kodaira with a handful of bullets, but my guy up in the high $8K range this week is Noren.

2019 has been awful for Noren, and this will be the Swede’s first crack at the RBC Heritage, but the worlds 32nd ranked player was as ranked 18th at the turn of the calendar. Upon browsing some random stats this week, I noticed Noren was ranked near the bottom in just about every statistical category across the board.

Here is bottom line. This is risky, and totally off the wall for me, but once in awhile players just hit what I feel is a rock bottom price compared to what I feel their ability is. All signs point to awful for Noren, but he obviously has the skills to break the slump at any moment. I will be on an island with this one, but I will be heavy on a likely less than 5% owned Noren.

***Bonus GPP Flyer: Satoshi Kodaira – $7,500***
