LA Chargers are bringing back powder blue uniforms

The Los Angeles Chargers are bringing back the powder blue uniforms for the first time in forever, which should make fans giddy for the 2019 season.
Fans of the Los Angeles Chargers have been clamoring for the team to bring back the powder blue uniforms that defined this franchise for the first 14 years of their existence.
It seemed as if the Chargers had listened.
For the 2019 season, the Chargers will be bringing back the powder blue uniforms for the full regular season, not just for throwbacks. It’s the first time the Chargers will default to the powder blues since the 1974 season when they went with a darker blue that just didn’t seem to match the vibe of the team, which was in San Diego at the time.
Of course, the powder blue uniforms had fans juiced up when the team announced the uniform’s return on Twitter:

Speaking of San Diego, this has to be quite awkward for them.
The powder blue uniforms fit the vibe of the city, a laid-back beach town that was crazy about its Chargers, until team owner Dean Spanos decided that he wasn’t going to get a shiny new stadium in San Diego, and moved the team up the road to Los Angeles. Let’s just say, fans back in San Diego are still a bit upset:

Regardless of some (rightfully) upset San Diego fans, the powder blue comeback was greatly cheered by the team’s fan base, and for good reason. Those powder blue uniforms could easily become the best in the NFL. Even non-Charger fans were hyped up for these uniforms:

Not to attempt sooth-saying, but the Chargers could be in the Top 10 of uniform sales this season, especially given the new embrace of pastel colors. Regardless of whether you’re a fan or not, the powder blue uniforms have everyone checking their bank accounts.
