The Philadelphia Eagles had some major needs heading into this offseason, and one big one was their lack of a solid option at running back. Last year, the Eagles were one of the worst rushing teams in the NFL, and the thought was that they would utilize their first round pick in 2019 on the position group.

However, the Eagles pulled off a nice move when they traded with the Chicago Bears for Jordan Howard, and can now focus on the other side of the ball in terms of their first rounder. With the No. 25 overall selection in the first round, the Eagles should look to add a player like Nasir Adderley, as they still have a need at safety.

Adderley did not play at a powerhouse college during his time at school, as he was a member of the Delaware Blue Hens. However, he really turned heads during the Senior Bowl, and has seen his stock rise toĀ  the point where he could be the best overall safety in this draft class.

The Eagles have done a nice job bringing in young talent at cornerback, and adding a talent like Adderley to their secondary wouldĀ  be another huge piece to the puzzle. Of course, if the Eagles are going to be successful in 2019, they need to keep Carson Wentz healthy, but the defense also needs to be better, and Adderley can help them achieve that.
