A look back at some of Dean Ambrose’s most memorable moments in the WWE.

After the live feed of the April 8 edition of Monday Night Raw came to a close the action inside the ring continued. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns called their Shield brother Dean Ambrose back down to the ring to give him a proper send-off on what was meant to be his final appearance on WWE television.

The three men stood in the center of the ring, fists together, representing the solidarity they shared as The Shield, and also as real life friends, for so many years. If that moment really was the last time Ambrose would step foot in a WWE ring for awhile then it was a good one. In his seven years on the main roster of the WWE, Ambrose has had a storied career with many memorable moments.

No list on the career accomplishments of Dean Ambrose would be complete without mentioning the initial WWE debut of The Shield.

At Survivor Series in 2012, the auspicious trio made their impact on the main roster by interfering in the WWE Championship match. As then-champion CM Punk defended his title against Ryback and John Cena in a triple threat match, Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns would leap the guardrail and go on the attack.

Clad all in black, The Shield swarmed the ring and took out Ryback with a triple power bomb through the ringside announcers table. That move created an unforgettable moment in their debut and it would become a signature moving forward as they became one of the most dominant factions in WWE history.

With The Shield’s aid, Punk retained his title and it was revealed that “The Hounds of Justice” had been paid as hired muscle to take out the champ’s adversaries. The trio continued to emerge from the crowd in sudden and violent fashion creating strong momentum going into their debut match at Tables, Ladders and Chairs. The Shield impressed with a hard-fought victory over then-WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane) and Ryback in a six-man tables, ladders and chairs match.

After splitting from Punk, they continued to dominate by winning their first WrestleMania match when they faced Sheamus, Randy Orton and the Big Show. Two weeks later on Raw, The Shield would tangle with Team Hell No again only this time The Undertaker would be their third man. This led to Ambrose’s first single match where he took on The Phenom during an episode of SmackDown.

The Shield would eventually go their separate ways with each member getting a taste of singles success. But the their Survivor Series debut is forever etched in the annals as a moment in time when The Shield established themselves as stars.
