5. Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles

It wouldn’t be a true list of the best games in the NFL this season without an NFC East showdown, and this one features the division’s two best squads. The Cowboys and Eagles have had plenty of tremendous battles over the years, and this season figures to be no different.

The 2018 edition of this rivalry was completely one-sided as the Cowboys swept their meetings with the Eagles, the determining factor in ensuring the NFC East crown went to Dallas. Cowboys’ running back Ezekiel Elliott ran all over the Eagles’ defense a year ago, picking up an absurd 379 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns in the wins.

Stopping Elliott will be priority number one for the Eagles as they look to re-establish their supremacy in the NFC East. These two teams will meet twice once again, but we have chosen to put the spotlight on Dallas’ trip to Philadelphia for our best games of the year.

This isn’t a slight against Cowboys’ fans, but the atmosphere in Philadelphia can get much rowdier when there’s a big divisional game, and their rabid fan base makes this half of the season series the more compelling matchup. With both the Giants and Redskins expected to have down years, whoever is able to come out on top in these Cowboys-Eagles matchups should have the upper hand on claiming the divisional crown.
