Everything you need to know to prepare for two title matches on April 17 edition of WWE NXT on the WWE Network.

DISCLAIMER: WWE NXT is a pre-taped wrestling program, and results of the show have already hit the internet ahead of time. We will not be spoiling those results here at FanSided; thanks for reading.

The WWE Superstar Shake-Up is happening this week on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live and the aftereffects are already being felt on the black and gold brand. The current NXT Tag Team Champions the War Raiders have been renamed and moved to the Raw brand. We won’t even acknowledge their new, terrible names here but the question remains: What happens to the tag team titles? Hopefully, WWE allows them to drop the titles sooner rather than later instead of just forfeiting them. If we’re lucky we get some clarification on the subject on this week’s WWE NXT on the WWE Network.

Speaking of championships, there will be not one but two NXT championship matches this week. Kairi Sane will receive a women’s title match against Shayna Baszler but if the Pirate Princess doesn’t win the title back it will be her final title shot in NXT. If she is unsuccessful does this mean Sane and her tag partner Io Shirai are not long for the black and gold brand themselves? We will find out soon enough.

Date: Wednesday, April 17th, 2019
Time: 8:00 pm EST
Location: Orlando, Florida
Venue: Full Sail University
Live Stream: WWE Network

The other title match stems from the confrontation between current NXT North American Champion, the Velveteen Dream and former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy that occurred backstage at WrestleMania. The Dream put Murphy down for losing his title on the Kick-off Show and Murphy is now coming to the black and gold brand to try and take the North American Championship away from the Dream. Will we see a new North American Champion tonight in Full Sail? Tune in to find out.

We also know that NXT Champion Johnny Gargano will be in the house to talk about his big win at NXT TakeOver, but oddly enough the anticipated rematch between Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic that was advertised to be happening this week has once again disappeared. We’re getting to the point where we will just stop talking about it until the match actually occurs.

NXT is certainly promising a lot of bang for your buck this week, with two great title matches on the same show. Do you think any of the titles will change? Who do you think is next in line for Johnny Champion? Sound off in the comments below.
