What channel is HBO? As TV fans dive into the new—and final—season of Game of Thrones, here is how to watch HBO on three of the biggest TV providers, so that you don’t miss an episode.

Channel numbers change depending on your cable provider; they’re not universal, which can often lead to confusion. As if that’s not enough, most premium cable channels also have different feeds for the East Coast and West Coast, which have different numbers, too. So to simplify the craziness just follow this step by step guide.

What channel is HBO on DirectTV? According to the company’s online guide, you can locate it on Ch. 501 (East) and 504 (West). If you need to order the network still, you can subscribe on Ch. 510, and there’s also a whole separate feed devoted to Game of Thrones on Ch. 512.

What channel is HBO on Comcast? Comcast changed its name to Xfinity, so what channel is HBO on Xfinity? Well, this is where it gets a little harder; they have the network in different places depending on which part of the country you live in (though it’s usually somewhere around the 300 area). You’ll have to use their local lineup to find your specific channel number.

What channel is HBO on Time Warner? Time Warner is now called Spectrum. So what channel is HBO on Spectrum? Like Comcast/Xfinity, you’ll have to look it up through a local channel guide. It varies by region.

It couldn’t be more complicated, between the name changes and the lack of a consistent channel number, but luckily finding the right place to watch Game of Thrones just requires a few additional clicks and a scroll down the listings (pro tip: sort them by name to speed up the process!)
