Juventus are on the verge of winning another Serie A title this weekend, while Bayern Munich are trying to extend their lead over BVB.

Serie A

After they were dumped from the Champions League quarterfinals on Tuesday by Ajax, Juventus will be looking to find some consolation by attempting to capture another league title this Easter weekend.

The Italian giants, who are on the verge of their eighth straight scudetto, need at least a point Saturday against Fiorentina at the home before a crowd at the Allianz Stadium prepared to celebrate. Napoli, in second place and a whopping 17 points behind them, play on Monday against sixth-place Atalanta.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri dismissed speculation he would be leaving the team next season.

“I already talked with the president, I will remain at Juve next season and we are already planning the next campaign,” he told reporters.

In other games to watch: Third-place Inter Milan host fifth-place Roma on Saturday in the race for top four with six matchdays left to play, while Spal travel to Empoli the same day in a key match that could affect the relegation fight.

Bundesliga

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund continue to battle for the title with four matchdays left in the season.

Bayern host Werder Bremen on Saturday, while BVB are on the road the following day against Freiburg. Bayern are currently in first place with 67 points. Dortmund are a point behind them.

Bayern will be without goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who hopes to return in two weeks.

“I want to be back playing again as soon as possible,” Neuer said, according to the Bundesliga’s official website. “I can’t say for certain when I’ll be back in goal, you can only surmise. The Leipzig game [on matchday 33] is a realistic objective, though. I think I’ll be good to go with two weeks of training behind me. Little injuries like this can happen after such a long absence. I expected it to happen – even during the first half of the campaign.”

In other games, RB Leipzig play at Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday in the race for top four, while Schalke host Hoffenheim the same day as the Gelsenkichen-based club continue to fight to remain in the German top flight.

Barcelona, coming off the high of reaching the Champions League semifinals, play on Saturday at Camp Nou against Real Sociedad. The seemingly-unstoppable Lionel Messi show is expected to continue this weekend as Barca look to edge closer to title.

With five matchdays left in the season, second-place Atletico Madrid, nine points adrift of Barcelona, also play on Saturday, but are likely to face an easier time away at Eibar.

“Leo always appears in the important games,” Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde told reporters. “Not just to finish off the moves, but all over the pitch. He’s involved in all our play. He gets the goals, but he also takes on responsibility in attack. When he’s playing like that, he’s unstoppable.”

Barcelona defeated Manchester United 3-0 at home in the Champions League quarterfinals on Wednesday, keeping the club on course for the treble this season.

In other key matchups: Real Madrid host Atletico Bilbao on Sunday in the race for top four, while Rayo Vallecano host Huesca on Saturday in a battle between the top-flight’s bottom two clubs.
