If you need a last-minute boost to your fantasy baseball pitching stats, there are plenty of players to pick from.

As week 3 of the fantasy baseball season comes to a close, fantasy owners are looking for any pitcher than can help win their pitching categories. Strikeouts, innings or low ratios are available on the waiver wire.

The probable pitchers listed to start on Sunday lend themselves to be perfect streaming options. According to ESPN ownership, 14 of the 30 pitchers are owned in over 50 percent of fantasy baseball leagues. That means the majority are available to stream.

I did sneak a pitcher with over 50 percent ownership on the list because I believe he needs to be owned in more leagues. His matchup on Sunday should prove why.

Here are the four starting pitchers I would use to end week 3.

Joey Lucchesi, vs. CIN

Lucchesi may be owned in your league, but if he’s not, he’s a must add for this start. His last two starts haven’t been the best, 12 earned runs in 11.0 innings. Lucchesi has a 21:7 K:BB ratio for the season.

The Reds have the worst batting average in the league and 65 runs scored, 25th out of 30. Lucchesi has struck out fewer batters in his last two starts compared to this first two, from 13 to eight.

Lucchesi gives up a lot of hits, but has good control and limits his walks. He should be able to limit opposing damage in this game.

Kyle Gibson, @BAL

Right there with the Reds are the Orioles with their .230 average and 88 runs scored. If there was ever a game for Gibson to get his confidence back, it’d be this game.

Gibson hasn’t made it out of the sixth inning in any of his starts this season. He allows too many batters to get on base and eventually score. Though, he hasn’t suffered a loss yet this year.

The Orioles have some hitters that can do some damage, like Trey Mancini and Dwight Smith Jr., but the rest of the lineup can be controlled.

Ervin Santana, @DET

Santana had a rough first game against the Rays, giving up seven runs in 3.2 innings. He rebounded nicely against the Royals, three runs on six hits and three walks in five innings. Santana will look to build on that against the Tigers.

Detroit, like many other AL teams, is not hitting well. They have a .215 team average with 57 runs scored, second-lowest in the league.

Santana may not strike out 160 batters this season but if he can limit baserunners then he’ll be a decent spot start. The Twins have a good enough offense to give him run support, which helps the win probability.

Jorge Lopez, @NYY

This pick is more to do with the Yankees injuries than Lopez’s skills. While Gary Sanchez and Giancarlo Stanton are close to returning, they won’t be available for this game. To make things worse, Aaron Judge left Saturday’s game early with a left oblique injury.

Losing Judge in addition to the players they currently have on the IL, the Yankees lineup isn’t as dangerous as it was on Opening Day. They are relying on guys like Giovanny Urshela, Mike Ford and Mike Tauchman.

Lopez doesn’t have the best offense behind him to support him for wins. But he will rack up strikeouts and could earn a quality start.

Fantasy baseball streamers are not meant to be long-term additions to your team. You use them for a start (or two) in a single week and move on. There’s a reason they are on the waiver wire. I’d rather cut someone too soon than hold onto them for too long.
