The Nets have lost momentum to the 76ers and the heroics of Ben Simmons. Can they get back on track in Game 4? Here’s everything you need to know to watch.

The Nets passive defense on Ben Simmons in Game 1, encouraging him to beat them by scoring over the top of the defense, was the story of their series-starting upset. It also served as an ego-awaking challenge for Simmons. In the two games since, both 76ers’ wins, he’s totaled 49 points, 21 assists, 16 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocks, shooting 19-of-25 from the field and 11-of-15 at the free throw line. Those stats also barely hint at the effect his defense has had on slowing down D’Angelo Russell at the other end.

With Joel Embiid somewhere less than 100 percent (and his ability to play in every game moving forward far from certain), Simmons’ emergence has been huge for Philadelphia. Tobias Harris and J.J. Redick showed up in Game 3 as well and everything seems to be finally coming together for the 76ers.

To get back in the series, the Nets will need to get back to challenging Philadelphia in the paint with penetration from Russell, Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert. Even if Embiid is healthy, making him move his feet in tight spaces, and potentially getting him in foul trouble, leverages an advantage and helps open things for their shooters behind the arc.
