MLB Bets says Miami is waking up /

Good day from MLB Bets to win.  Or maybe not.  For the 3rd day in a row the system is recommending Kansas City after getting shellacked the first 2 games.

Yesterday MLB Bets won 1.20 units.  Using 1 unit as a base and factoring in the lay and take,  the season total now stands at a new high of +21.44 units.  An amazing 5 run 9th inning led the Braves to an 8-7 victory over the Indians in the nightcap of their doubleheader to save the day.

Here we are again with more predictions – all times Eastern:

Kansas City  (+2.25)  knocks off New York, 1:05 pm
The Royals have been pounded twice by the Yankees.  They are getting a great price for this pitching match-up.

Jorge Lopez takes the hill for the Royals.  From an ERA perspective he has done better than his counterpart James Paxton for New York, posting a 3.50 ERA as compared to 4.67 over the last 3 starts.  The Yankees are overpriced and KC will actually win the series money wise should they win today.

Here’s a crazy stat – the Yankees are 1-7 in their last 8 Sunday games.  That’s the only trend against them.

Miami  (+1.53)  can sweep Washington, 1:10 pm
Amazingly the Marlins have strung 2 wins in a row together and now look poised to grab another win.  Strasburg tanking can’t hurt either.

Neither pitcher has looked impressive but Stephen Strasburg has gone missing these last 2 games.  In his last 10 innings of work he’s given up 10 earned runs.

Trevor Richards goes for Miami.  He mixes good starts with poor ones but now Miami has the feeling of winning and that will keep the spark alive for the home team today.

MLB Bets To Win – Rangers upset the Astros again

Texas  (+1.90)  sends the crowd home happy blasting Houston, 3:05 pm
The pitching line today strongly favors Houston.  That does not always translate into a win in Arlington.  Collin McHugh has much better stats than Shelby Miller but the offensive minded Rangers can shell anyone, today being no exception.

MLB Bets is not advocating the total either way, but for those interested, the under has a lot of strong trends.  Among those is that umpire Jim Reynolds is 18-5-4 under last 27 games, and the under is 5-1 the last 6 meetings here in Arlington.

MLB Bets wants to give Texas another try today.  They are 9-4 at home while Houston is 7-7 away.  The Astros have the pitching advantage but laying almost 2-1 is too high a line.

Toronto  (+1.49)  edges Oakland for the sweep, 4:07 pm
Oakland has their best pitcher going.  The Toronto guy is no slouch and it’s been too easy for the Jays.

The A’s had won the last 9 games in this series before Friday.  Now the Jays are taking it to them and MLB Bets wants to ride this trend.  Aaron Sanchez starts for Toronto with about the same ERA as Brett Anderson.  Making the A’s a large favorite is too ambitious.

Toronto is 5-1 in their last 6 away games and Oakland is 0-4 versus right handers.  The A’s certainly can win this game but the line is way too high.   MLB Bets thinks the Jays should be a small favorite.

Seattle  (+1.09)  stomps Los Angeles, 4:07 pm

Seattle rolls on, and although they are not having it as easy as Toronto so far in their series, they are winning.  An object in motion tends to stay in motion.

The Mariners continue their sensational run, holding down the 2nd best run differential in baseball at +34.  The Angels check in at -13.

Mariners sink the Angels
Mike Leake takes the hill for Seattle.  He has pitched better than Jaime Barria of LAA by 2-3 ERA stats depending how the numbers are read.  Either way, the Mariners have the pitching advantage and are on a huge roll.

Cincinnati  (+1.36)  sweeps the Pads, 4:10 pm
The Reds are quietly turning things around winning 3 in a row.  The Padres, now losers of 6 in a row, are sinking fast.

More from FanSided

Tyler Mahle starts for Cincinnati.  He had a bad outing last time at the Dodgers but has pitched well otherwise.  Joey Lucches seeks a better performance after giving up 12 earned runs in 11 innings over his prior 2 starts.

Giving the Reds decent plus money while not having any pitching edge is living in the past – the past being 2 weeks ago.  These teams are going in different directions now but the line has not adjusted as of yet.  Until it does, Cincinnati remains a value play as MLB Bets believes they should be the favorite.

Atlanta  (+1.18)  defaces Cleveland, 7:05 pm
Okay that doesn’t really make sense.  MLB Bets predicts the Braves will win.

After an incredible comeback yesterday the Braves play the Indians again sending Max Fried to the mound.  He and Clevelands Shane Bieber have pitched great this year posting ERA’s around one.  These teams are equally matched on paper tonight but the nod here goes to Atlanta.

Coming off a great win, there will be some momentum starting this game for the Braves.  It may be just enough of an edge to prevail.

MLB Bets Recap for Sunday April 21st:

Kansas City   +2.25
Miami   +1.53
Texas   +1.90
Toronto   +1.49
Seattle   +1.09
Cincinnati   +1.36
Atlanta   +1.18

MLB Bets was very close to recommending Boston, but Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow has been so dominant the system marked it as a pass.  Should Glasnow be taken down, Boston will be a play against any other starter for Tampa.
