Pascal Siakam and the Toronto Raptors will look to head back home up 3-1 on Sunday, but not if the Orlando Magic will have anything to say about it.

If Kawhi Leonard bolts the Toronto Raptors this summer, they could easily rebuild around Pascal Siakam.

The favorite for the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award, Siakam has shown the rest of the NBA that not only can he be a reliable scoring option, but he has star potential oozing from his tall, lanky frame.

Through the first three games of this slugfest of a first round between the Raptors and the up-and-coming Orlando Magic, Siakam has been a force that the Magic have been unable to find an answer to.

In Game 3, he was the big reason the Raptors hold a 2-1 series lead right now, leading Toronto with 30 points and 11 rebounds, and making big money plays down the stretch. Siakam became the first Raptor to have a 30-11 night since Chris Bosh did it in 2008, cementing his case that he could be a player the Raptors could build around should Leonard test the free agent waters.

Stopping Siakam probably wasn’t on the Magic’s playoff to-do list. Obviously, their target was stopping Leonard, who had a career year this season. The Magic’s defense did just that, but Siakam has become a thorn in the side of Magic coach Steve Clifford, who now has to find a gameplan to stopping the forward.

While the Magic had another bad shooting night, they were able to finally get their own All-Star, Nikola Vucevic, going. Vucevic, who was averaging just 8.5 points per game prior to Game 3, led the Magic with 22 points and 14 rebounds. With their big gun now firing, that gives the Magic hope that they can even the series on their home court to set up and epic Game 5 showdown.

The way this series has gone, can we expect anything less?
