2019 NFL mock draft: Kyler Murray, Nick Bosa kick things off
The Eagles are trying to get back to the Super Bowl after falling in the Divisional round a year ago. Philadelphia General Manager Howie Roseman should feel confident in the offensive personnel, but the secondary has needs. Jalen Mills is an average player who was recently arrested, and while Malcolm Jenkins remains an elite safety, he’s aging.
Nasir Adderley is trying to become the first Blue Hen to be taken in the first round since Joe Flacco, and chances are good it happens. Adderley is a terrific athlete that would add some speed and versatility to the defensive backfield in Philly.
It would be stunning if General Manager Chris Ballard decided to go with an offensive player here. The Colts are in need of defensive help on all three levels of the unit, so this becomes a question of best player available. Looking at the board, it’s tough to pass on Christian Wilkins, who has been a dominant force for the Clemson Tigers over their two National Championships.
With Wilkins and Denico Autry on the line, Indianapolis has a foundation to build upon up front. Factor in second-year linebacker Darius Leonard and the signing of outside linebacker Justin Houston, and the Colts are becoming a threat on both sides of the ball.
